Success! We've lured him back out into the open! Man the harpoons, he won't escape this time! Well done, men. It took four pages, but the bait proved irresistible to our elusive prey.

from twitter: "The Stanley Cup is currently filled with Buffalo wings. Was told Cup handlers had to call to double-check before giving okay on that one" http://twitter.com/Rachel__Nichols So the cup is filled with wings. Perhaps a good omen? If the wings win the cup next year i will personally mail patrick kane a case of beer.

    Power Play / Penalty Killing

    I highly doubt anyone would want Kindl on the Pk. My idea is PP1 - Z/Dats/Franzen Raffi-Lids PP2 - Huds/Flip/(Bert/Homer/Cleary) Kronwall/Modano PK 1 - Eaves/Helm Lids/Salei PK 2 - Abs/(Flip/Z/Dats) Kronwall/Stuart

Absolutely not. The NHL has too many teams as it is now. Ever since the Columbus, Nashville, Minnesota, Atlanta expansion there has been a noticeable drop in the quality of the teams. Take a look at the teams of the 80's and the early to mid 90's. They were loaded with talent. There were 30 goal scorers on the third line. Plus, every team was competitive and had stars worth paying to see. What players on Nashville, Minnesota and Atlanta are worth the price of the ticket right now? Columbus has Rick Nash, otherwise they wouldn't have anyone worth watching either. If anything, the NHL needs less teams to improve as a product.

No thanks the NHL already over expanded has has a plethora of financially unstable teams as a result. Players that leave to play in Europe chose to do so because thats where they rather play or because they cant hack in the NHL.

Bruins - Orr Sabres - Miller Canadiens - Rocket Senators - ? Leafs - Cujo! or maybe Tim Horton- Great Donuts! Devils - Shannahan Isles - Osgood Rangers - Richter- might change this one later. Can anyone tell me why I dislike Messier so much? Either his goofy smile/crying or how he keeps being called the greatest leader ever- That's Yzerman in my mind. Flyers - Roenick Penguins - Lemiuex Thrashers - Heatley I guess- but don't like him anymore at all. Hurricanes - Bates Battaglia- coolest name for a hockey player ever. Panthers - Vansbeesbrook Lightning - Vinny Lecavieler Capitals - Alexander Ovechkin Flames - Iginla Avalanche - Thereon Fleury (15 games) Oilers - Gretzky Wild - Roleston or Backstrum Canucks - Pavel Bure Blackhawks - Probert Blue Jackets - Fedorov Red Wings - Yzerman Predators - Who cares. Blues - Thachuck Ducks - Selanne Stars - Modano Kings - Marcell Dionne Coyotes - Doan Sharks - Nabakov

yup, and it's the PP that i currently use in NHL 10...if it works in the game then, you know, it should work in real life.

We've got the ice tonight, 8-9, 3rd floor.

Pretty s***ty, since 50% of this board has never played hockey. It's just internet jargon. I was joking too, no worries.

I'd be better than most of them. But enough about me... *Edit before I get the obligatory "OMFG YOU'RE SO FULL OF YOURSELF YOU ONLY PLAYED JUNIORS YOU CONCEITED DOUCHEBAG" reply, I'm being caustically sarcastic. I really do think I would be one of the better players, but the amount others claim I hype myself up is beyond ridiculous.

Lol, I just guess you take the internet more seriously than me. I can deal with the oh so horrible ramifications of having some anonymous internet vigilante calling me conceited or fat.

No people said he doesn't like contact as soon as we first signed him, thats where I'm getting that from. People need to stop with the Newfy ahtes Euro's s*** because I don't, I hate soft players. Wherever theyre from. Yeah Drake how many season did he play in the NHL, being trained by one of the best coaching staffs in the world before finally hitting his stride. Mule was still even younger then Iflip when he started scoring in the NHL. And that was after 2 seasons in the NHL. The Mule comparison doesn't work here people, he played 2 NHL seasons before he started scoring at age 27. Iflip isn't going to play a role in the NHL until he is 30.

The NHL needs to offer expansion teams for these players. Yes, I know we all hate expansion, but think about it seriously. If we take the current group of foreign players who are in the NHL, then we have fewer talented players. But the problem is, the foreign players overseas provide a larger percentage of that player group than we had before. So by offering the expansion teams, we keep more players here and, more importantly we keep the YOUNGER players here. Two expansion teams is all we need. The biggest question is who can we get to provide the kind of cash? Balsille, Reinsdorf, and others might be in the runnings, but who knows.

I don't know what pisses me off more about that Crosby video: 1) That people took their sweet ass time getting at Crosby, to the point that Jimmy Howard stepped in 2) That Kronwall said and did NOTHING to Crosby once the refs/linesmen jumped in. Not a ******* word. 3) That Jimmy Howard showed more balls than any Red Wing at the end of the game. Zetterberg absolutely owned Crosby all game... he should have known this s*** was coming, and waited until about the 7th cross-check before he finally got pissed off. 4) That Crosby left the Joe knowing that he got to Z and Jimmy Howard. That he could have hurt Zetterberg, and would have been allowed to fight Jimmy Howard (and easily win) with no repercussions. He got in their heads, and he knows that next game... it's on... and he has the advantage.
