Montreal ranks in the top 5 every year for the most blocked shots in the NHL, and not to mention Howard has only played in the NHL for 1 complete year, and just starting his second and has started better than Price did. 09/10 - .287 GAA .911 Save % 08/09 - .285 GAA .904 Save % 07/08 - .265 GAA .920 Save % J Howard 09/10 - 2.26 GAA .924 Save % Stop trying to say something that most people already know is null. Price was a backup to Halak for a reason, he wasn't good enough to take the starter position. Crosby Version 2.0 or would you rather have... no brainer for me.

    NHL opens All-Star Fan Balloting

    Price - 16GP - 10-5-1, .923 save percentage, 2.18 goals against Howard - 11GP - 9-1-1, .921 save percentage, 2.15 goals against I bet you think price is an all-star though, don't you?

It's a Saturday night. My guess college football and parties are the priority. Only reason I was in tonight was because my brakes went out on my truck plus, we're super spoiled, we don't need to be posting in every thread . The Avs GDT on HF was super slow as well. i blame the economy

Also looked up 3rd period goals against: 07-08 team gave up the fewest goals against in the 3rd 08-09 team gave up the 2nd most in the 3rd period. I think you got some years mixed up?

Hmmm, I don't remember it, I remember it more prevalently from the 09' team.

ROFL. You have such a childish system of entitlement. I pity you.

I am not a fan of the prevent defense this team displays after a lead. The past two cup teams for Detroit never did this stuff, but as long as we keep winning I'm happy.

You don't like how it turned out? The only other outcome would have been a loss, so would that have been more acceptable?

Get use to this trend. A lot of the post-cap successes, are spending all their cap space, to lock up breakout guys, who may or may not do their job 2-3-4 years down the road. The cap makes teams move people around, clear up space, and take gambles on people. In a poker game, Chicago went "All in", and won. But nothing left for later tournaments. Can't bully out a win now. Pittsburgh, is a high card team. They bet on high cards, and can't play a low card game for s***. Detroit, likes to slow play the f*** out of the system, but they're the quiet guy who gets you in the end, round after round. Win some, lose some, but always in the game. I totally blame him.

Pretty decent first period, chances for a few more than the one we got and Jimmy has been superb as usual. Also, first post! Hello fellow Wings fans, been lurking here since last spring and finally got around to making an account. I'm a student from Finland and the Wings have been my favourite NHL team pretty much since I started playing and following hockey as a little kid (don't play myself anymore though). Gonna be hanging out in the GDTs whenever I can afford to stay up to the wee hours of the morning.

    Flippula vs Hudler

Dastyuk is the best all-around player in the league. Ovechikin/Crosby are the most potent offensively. Who would you rather have? Filppula is the better all around player. Hudler is better offensively. Who would you rather have? Would you be happy if these players were on your team? Yes. I rest my case. Cleary. Is that even a joke? Cleary scores clutch goals. And I don't even like Cleary and it's obvious.

Until St. Louis begins to falter (they'll cool off, but I doubt they'll start to tank), I'm looking at them as the real deal. Halak in net has made a huge difference so far.

Why is St. Louis doing so good?

He came in here and gave his tams props and said what his team needed to work on and then all the shots at the Blues came after Shore opened the flood gates. He wasn't combative or hostile or anything until he was provoked. Obviously the Wings are on another, but why the petty pop shots? if you're insecure or threatened by the Blues, why show it? "ZOMG, we have teh cups more than youz. You are teh suckzor."

Why is St. Louis doing so good?

I like how members call the Blues forum unclassy then some of our revered members take shots at the Blues franchise for no reason. Stay classy LGW.

    Andreas Lilja to Anaheim

I'm indifferent about wanting him to come back. I flip-flopped on him so much while he was here. But this organization is the most loyal in all of the NHL, but it is a two-way street, and Lilja made his choice to not stay loyal.

To watch, a tie between football (primarily college) and hockey. All other sports I don't have too much of an interest in to really watch a full game of something unless it's for a playoff or championship, at least if it were on TV. I typically have a good time though at live sporting events, go to New Orleans Hornets games down here infrequently and alwyas have fun at those even though I don't follow them or the NBA all that much.
