I wouldn't mind if the NFL decides to do a lockout next season on 2 counts. 1. Could be good for Hockey 2. NFL games always mess up my tv shows by making them late to come on or not airing at all.

I love taking the Riverwalk during playoff games. Its full of crazy wings fans, especially after a victory.

Forget all the technology, big screens, heated seats or whatever, the on-ice product is what matters. All the stadium technology in the world won't get you a Stanley Cup.

The Palace is horrible. The amount of traffic is crazy going North between 4P.M.-6P.M. on all the metro Detroit streets and expressways and would have to leave at 2-3 P.M. just to make puck drop at 7:30 P.M. Not much walkable areas around the Palace to enjoy before and after the game. Until Metro Detroit get's a commuter rail with a subway system in place, Downtown Detroit is the only place to put any kind of large stadium at.
