  8. Yay! Now we just wait on Deke
  9. Worth it's own thread perhaps, but mostly a "meh" signing? The price is right: 1 year, 2 way, 550k.
  10. Wings sign Zengerle

Fta: top assist getter in the Big Ten last year.
  11. The final sentence contradicts itself - they remain far apart - both are certain to be signed before training camp. Far apart does not readily lend itself to certainty. Anyone have any idea what the disputed numbers are looking like? i.e. just HOW far apart they are? ETA:
  12. McCollum signed.

Official Detroit Red Wings Liked · 15 mins UPDATE: The #RedWings have signed Tom McCollum to a one-year deal.
  13. 1 year deal per the official Facebook account.... loss of words
  14. 1 year deal Not a bad signing for the Griffins. Seems to be a pretty solid player.
  15. I have no words. Bob McKenzie ‏@TSNBobMcKenzie 2m Kyle Quincey signs a 2-year deal with AAV of $4.25M with DET.
  16. TSN reporting we signed Kevin Porter for 1 year, no money reported yet. Local guy, not sure what to think about it yet. Edit: My only source so far - Edit 2: Bob McKenzie reporting this is a two-way deal. He split last year between Buffalo and Rochester. Probably a signing to give the kids some competition, let them earn their spots with the big boys.
  17. @DetroitRedWings: UPDATE: The #RedWings have signed Riley Sheahan to new two-year contract. #ATTExtCov
  18. This'll probably be moved to the rumors forum, but what the hell.
  19. Glendening signed to 3 year extension

@DetroitRedWings: UPDATE: The #RedWings have signed Luke Glendening to a three-year contract extension. Very happy about this. Good for like too he deserves it
  20. "Maybe Ryan Haggerty will be the next coming of Rod Gilbert, who is pretty much the only explosive goal-scorer on the wing developed by the Rangers over the past six decades, and the organization does need to compensate for the first-round draft choices it sent away for Rick Nash and Martin St. Louis. Being aggressive in the college free-agent market represents a way to do that. But the accommodation the organization made in order to sign the 21-year-old Haggerty out of RPI last week — guaranteeing him a spot on the NHL roster for the remainder of the season — sure seems like a dangerous precedent to set. What’s next, signing a free agent — NHL, college, or otherwise — to a contract that includes the stipulation of first-power-play ice time?"
  21. I'm happy about this signing, solid defenders are hard to find these days. I just hope the cap hut isn't too bad.
  22. Cleary 1 yr 1.75 mil according to Holland
  23. I think this is a great move from Charles Jacobs (who seems to have taken over for his father?). Chiarelli was the one I wanted to become Hollands successor if Stevie isn't avaiable. One can't help but to love the way he is building his teams, they are tough, physical, defensive responsible and always dangerous in terms of goal scoring. I also like Ray Shero a lot, but he has Crosby, Malkin and Letang so his job isn't that hard. The only mistake PC made so far, has been dealing Seguin for Ericsson this will backfire very very soon. Other than that, PC is really a top notch GM so congratulations to CJ.
