Predators reclaim top spot in the West

Maybe a sibling rivalry, kind of the big brother/little brother type. Big brother always seems to come out on top. Nashville is no where close to where Colorado was from the mid 90's thru 2002 or the Blackhawks over the last 70 + years. They were a rival for us, if you wanted the cup you had to go thru the Wings or the Avs. When Nashville wins the division once or twice maybe I'll change my perspective. Until then……...

i do actually have a theory about the wings cup wins...

it wasn't "the wings win a cup when a Detroit goalie fights Patrick Roy"..

it's "the wings win a cup when the Detroit goalie fights Peter Forsberg's team's goalie"..

therefore...5 games left...all we need is to get someone to start a barney and get Hasek to fight Vokoun or Mason and the cups ours...

i still haven't forgotten that Forsbery started all this crap by going after Larionov back in '97, got the s*** kicked out of him and didn't come back for the rest of the game

what i'm basically saying is that this race could really spur us on...we haven't had a tight division in a long time

Yes my post is necessary. I feel a need to let people know when they start threads that dont really have a point. Make sure you start a new one everytime the division leader changes.

what? it was going on long before then and really got going when lemieux nailed drapes in '96... the Floppa thing was just the boiling point of something that had been going on for a year already

Just anyone who does it. Not taking a shot at a particular poster, I just find it ironic that so many people complain about this or that having to do with the Predators, and then turn around and deny that there is a rivalry.

and if you would have read the other posts you would have seen i posted the same thing 2 pages ago about the lead changing back and forth all week. If you don't care then why post in this thread? seems like a waste of your time. you probably have better threads to reply in. my post was more towards the artical and not because the preds were number one again.

I was looking at the schedule for the rest of the season and was surprised to see that the Preds only have 9 games left against central division teams and 5 of those are against the Wings. They have 6 against the NW with a record of 8-4-2 and 5 against the Pacific with 8-7-0. The Wings have 14 games remaining against the central division (5 with the preds) 4 against the NW (9-4-3) and 3 against the Pacific (11-6-2).
