How did this injury happen? Was it somekind of hit to the boards or just bad luck?

I'm convinced it was that beyotch from Edmonton that rode him into the boards. He's gonna get a strongly worded email from me. :boxing: <----- I'm gonna use that icon and everything.

You are ridiculous

Duh. :)

that's definitely a concern. we won't have much time as a team before the playoffs hit.

I do believe a month will be enough.

Didn't this happen the year we won the cup? With like half the team coming down with injuries/illnesses? And with lots of grand rapids players, I believe they went on a winning streak. So heres to hoping that happens.

The team was very healthy in '02. You're probably thinking of '04. With a full ten regulars out of the line up, the Griffs went on a tear spearheaded by Pavel; he was named player of the month, if I recall correctly.

It's almost like Dats could star in a movie where he leads a bunch of young'uns to glory, classic feel good story of hope and eternal perseverance. Also, full-on with gag scarves when it gets too bad. ;)

Ever since about '01-'02 I followed the Wings about absolutely not at all... lots of different life stuff there, it's only this past year that I actually started keeping a active track on them. I wish I'd seen the Detroit Griffs doing their thing in winter '04.

true that.

dallas has the same point total as san jose. its just as likely that we play them if we finish 4th. and I'd for sure rather play dallas than calgary who's 8th now.

agreed but you gotta agree with the fact that with the addition of Guerin the Sharks look like the are in prime position to take the 5th spot

I've been watching the Buffalo Sabres (a.k.a. the Rochester Americans) play depleted for pretty much the entire 2nd half. This will simply test the Wings and see what they are made of. Buffalo keeps winning. What's our excuse?

No kidding...one player goes out and everyone starts whining. I like Z a lot but we'll get by until he's back. A team is just that, a TEAM of people, so it's time for other people to step up.

Holmstrom already has been, so who is going to join him? Hell, a couple of games ago Holmstrom had the only 3 goals of the game and Z was playing in that one.
