I've met a big percentage of the players past and present at signings and such, and 2 at my job and I saw Oz at the mall (I always think it's cooler to see them outside of a signing)

Some of these include: Fedorov, Osgood, Legace, Whitney, Bertuzzi, Ciccarelli, Primeau, Johnson, Maltby, Draper, Lang, Zetterberg, Lidstrom, Brown, Dandenault, Avery, Hodson, Cheveldae, Shanahan, Konstantinov, Larionov, Fetisov, Kozlov, Datsyuk, Holmstrom, Kopecky, Fischer, Vernon, Murphy, Devereaux, Rouse, Maracle, Ward, Knuble, Erikson etc.

Non Wings: Mogilney, V. Bure, Belfour, Theodore, Fuhr, Tretiak, B. Johnson, R. Nash, Roenick, Khabibulin, Parrish, Yashin, Hextall etc.

That's all I can think right now.

Some of the nicest: Fedorov is EXTREMELY nice, everytime. Osgood, Ciccarelli, Whitney, Parrish, Mogilney, Fuhr, Larionov, Bertuzzi, and Legace were all very nice and personable. B. Johnson was hilarious :-D

Oh lol..I fogot about Ryan Kesler...ha ha.

I met and sat next to Brent Gilchrist on the plane ride home from the Yzerman game. Very nice guy. Talked with him about family, life, and hockey for about a half hour. He let me hold his Stanley Cup ring (awesome).

When my son was 7 months old I took him to his first hockey game in Grand Rapids. Hudler came up to my son and gave him a puck.

I was at junior camp a few years ago back with Gilchrist nephew

I sat next to Dino Cicarelli at the bar at Champps on Hall Road. This was 2 or three years ago. He was a cool guy. I didnt bother him much, just said hello.

I met Larry Murphy last year at a Wings game here in Nashville. We sat in the upper deck right below the announcers booth. I got his autograph and a picture taken with him and Ken Daniels.

I live in Mid-Michigan, where celebrity sightings are few and far between (Kid Rock stopping at a gas station 20 miles away to buy cigarettes made the paper), but once I saw Draper and McCarty driving through downtown.

Also, one time buying gas, I was wearing my Red Wings hat, and the guy behind the counter asks if I was a Wings fan, I say yes, and he tells me that he's Ted Lindsay's grandson. We chat for a few minutes about the Wing's playoff chances (it was early last season).

Sid Abel's daughter / Brent Johnson's mom planned our wedding. She was really nice. Ozzie was playing on the Blues with Johnson at the time, and she was tickled to death that we not only knew who Johnson was but had met him and got a picture with him. She kept the picture of us in her office.

Aw, that's really nice.

Once I was watching the Isles down in Columbus and DiPietro threw me a puck. Because he looked at me and pointed I kew it was for me. A kid got it though...which was cool. So he threw me another one. Stupid kid stole that one too. I didn't really like that kid too much. That's the only time anyone's ever thrown me a puck. But I'm not going to wrestle it from a kid :sly:

I have had to pleasure of meeting alot of the guys. The two nicest that i have meet and had a chance to really talk to were former back up goalie Kevin Hodson and Paul Coffey.

Coffey was probably the nicest one of all. I use to work for the proffesional lacrosse team in detroit when i was in middle school. Me and a friend were shooting around the field before a game when Paul came out and started shooting with us. Next think we knew he was giving us a full tour of the wings locker room. It was one of the coolest things i ever go to do. He kept trying to find things that he could give us but the equipment manager at the time kept on saying no. Paul was awsome and i will always rember that day.

Kevin i got meet when i wa working at a restraunt. The team was having a going away party, I think it was for Stu Grimson. I had just finshed my shift and walked to the back and he just said hi to me and next think i knew we were sitting there talking for about an hour. He was really nice.

I have also ran into Stevie a couple of times and every time i get all tounge tied and end up sounding a like a fool.

In 1992 I was in line at a Rite-Aid in West Bloomfield buying some stuff and the guy in front of me was in the process of buying the biggest bottle of Vodka I had ever seen. When he turned to leave I realized it was Sergei Fedorov!

I've only met Dave Lewis. It was while he was coach and we got him to sign my girl's jersey.

I didn't say much because I didn't think much of him as a coach and I figured I'd say something to that effect after all the beer I'd had.

Last fall I met Ted Lindsay and Shawn Burr at a game worn jersey show near DTW. They were there signing autographs for the NHLPA retirement fund. They were there for a couple of hours and had a lot of time to kill. I stood around and ocassionally chatted with them and listened to them trade war stories. It was pretty cool. Both guys were very down to earth.
