When he plays a ridiculous game like that, you'd think the Blues might actually win games before they are out of the playoffs. Sanford has never been that good, and we all know about how Manny can be streaky, and is injury prone as we found out this year. If Backwash would have started more games for the Notes this year and played like that, who knows, they could be where Colorado is, battling for that final spot. Also, I gotta comment about the jackoffs at lgb.com. Anyone ever notice how they treat an injured opposing player as a gift from God? Or that they are the jedi masters of hockey know-how while everyone else (especially at lgw.com) are retards? Hell, we've had Avs and Preds fans come here and contribute nicely, but whenever a Wings fan comes to their boards, it's :battle: . s***ty "fans" for a s***ty team. theman19 47 Report post Posted March 25, 2007 see goaltending is something about the leauge that has always fascinated me. It seems some teams populate the NHL with netminders. Dallas has always had strong goaltending, SJ had nabokov and kipper on the same team at one point, Tampa had to buy a goalie to get a cup (so did we in 02 lol) but now couldn't have a strong goaltending game to save there lives. That said the blues are an intresting case right now. Manny will always be a backup in my opinion the only person that doesn't know that is him, which is lots of gutz on his part and good on him for it, but he's not the answer for them. Sanford isn't a starter either but he's solid from time to time. This "Backwash" kid looks like the kind that would need a lot of shots to be effective, which he could get in a blues uniform. I think that the blues being a team of high historical pedegree arn't going to sit buy and let good free agent goaltending pass them buy for much longer. Counting slowly to ten usually helps me to calm down enough, so I can think (and post) rationally not simply react emotionally to, for example, the Wings losing. While I'll admit it's kind of funny it's horribly immature and further convinces me their forum is just a big xenophobic hate fest were they collectively bash the Wings for lack of anything better. God forbid we ever sink that low if we have a couple bad years. Though to stay on Topic I think Backwashes miracle of a performance was just a fluke at our expense. A few times it seemed to me he got lucky in stopping screened shots and aside from the shootout goal, the early whistled goal should have counted too. My point is this though: Every time somone mentions the Wings it sets up a chain reaction of prized trolling. It seems like even if they go about as a mention this brings it all out. My favorite one is the famous "All male Wings fans are *** *******" joke that quite a few of you seem to have a field day with. I understand if you do make fun of the ******* Wings fans that go over there just to stir things up. They do it here, and I really don't like listening to it, because it makes all Wings fans look like jerks. But I've seen some of it done purely unmerited, and it really comes out of nowhere. I've seen it be aimed at even the decent Wings fans, which really bugs me, because they don't deserve to be flamed just because they root for a team that you guys don't particulary like. If it was deserved, and somebody goes on there and says "The Blues are the Wings ***** lolz!!!!!!!!!!!!!11oneone2" or some stupid crap like that, then by all means go after him. The Blues winning the season series is pretty much proof that they aren't. But really though, sometimes the flaming that goes at some of the better Wings fans is not called for. Don't you think it's safe to say that they probably feel the same way about Wings fans joining? Besides, little known it may be, but joining another team's board just to start crap can be an easy way to earn a one-way ticket to LGW-Banville (for the aforementioned reason, it starts a flood of them coming over, and we don't want that). Guys, seriously, who cares what the Blues fans think of themselves, or the Blues, or the Wings, or anyone for that matter? Only the Wings make other teams' average goalies look like geniuses, and score minimal offense for their own goalies. It's a season-long trend that I do hope they try to reverse, you know... soon?
