You're right. If people cannot appreciate how in-game giveaways help the entire team, then I shouldn't really care about whether they apologize to Lang or not. It's called team defense - Langer knows how to prepare for the playoffs.

I dont see why it's so wrong to criticize Lang. I agree that he takes a bunch of heat for every little mistake...but the guy makes a ton of little mistakes. He also shows very little effort and as the topic shows, turns the puck over as much anyone in the league.

But I guess we should all bend over and say, "My, what a lovely tea party" whenever we see someone who is obviously tanking it.

I fully expect Lang to step it up for the playoffs. I laughed out loud last week during a game, when some commentator actually said, "That situation was a result of lazy play by Lang..." I kept waiting for the other guy to say, "and he sucks."
