erok 0 Report post Posted April 21, 2007 - The Calgary Flames and the Detroit Red Wings will both be gunning for a victory on Saturday afternoon when they meet at Joe Louis Arena in Game 5 of their Western Conference quarterfinal series. Offsides 21 Report post Posted April 21, 2007 I will not make a predictions...because me + predictions = bad stuff happens. I do have a good feeling about the game though, so that is good! I will encourage you guys to root for Bobby Lang this time...as rooting for Lang = guranteed win. But most people are sooo stubborn that they won't try it...and we didn't win last time. Too much negative energy is devoted to #20....most definitely.

Donaldjr2448 43 Report post Posted April 21, 2007 Well folks, I don't want to sound like a broken record, but this is game 7 for us!! We lose today we are done tomorrow!! No doubt about it!! We have to ghetto stomp these guys this afternoon, we need to have Homer or Bert smash into Kipper a couple of times to keep his booty in the crease, he is killing us by being able to move out 5 feet infront of the net to be able to slow up traffic. I expect a huge game from Dats and Z and yes even Lang!!! Redwings, my Redwings Come on Come on Come on!!!!
Junk 0 Report post Posted April 21, 2007 This is hard to predict but history tells us that Detroit wins today, Calgary wins tomorrow and we throw down for game 7 to decide it all.

HockeyCrazy3033 168 Report post Posted April 21, 2007 So those Flames are getting cocky again saying they have the Wings 'right where they want them' and that they are going to win tonight and tomorrow. Wow. I hate when teams get ahead of themselves. Play the games first, jackasses. Although I do LOVE when they say these things because it came back to bite them in the ass the first two games. GO WINGS!!!!

Airborn 0 Report post Posted April 21, 2007 (edited) Recent history in game 5 suggests a Flames win. We are 5-0 since 2004 in game 5. Flames win 5-3. Just means you're due for a loss. Edit: I do like the Wings in this one. They're a smart team, so they'll stay away from the box, and being home should help that. Calgary has yet to show they're capable of doing anything 5 on 5. Also, I think Z and Dats come to play today. Go Wings! Edited April 21, 2007 by Airborn
HockeyCrazy3033 168 Report post Posted April 21, 2007 I just found out that Regehr is out for the rest of this series. The Wings NEED to take advantage of this!! LETS GO WINGS!!!!!! SCORE EARLY, FAST, AND OFTEN!
Guest hockeygal Report post Posted April 21, 2007 I don;t know where you read that Regeher is out for the rest of the series Flames have him as a gameday decsison Anyways, Flames still beat the wings without him in the Lineup anyway Also some interesting Stats Flames when in Game 5 in the Playoffs have went 5-0 Wings Lost game 5 last season to the Oilers - In the Joes Lost Game 5 in 04 to the Flames -in the Joe Something about his game 5 stuff, not looking good for the wings And yes I cheer also for the Wings, there was no player like Stevie Y I like the Flames as Darren McCarty is a fav of mine also What to do Just means you're due for a loss. Offsides 21 Report post Posted April 21, 2007 Honestly I hate stats like: Wings usually lose when a series is tied. Or 3 out of 4 times that Calgary has came back they have lost...or The Red Wings usually win on odd days of the week...etc. Trying to notice trends from the pass and figure out what will happen is just frustrating to me because each game is different. In any case, we have different players on our team now, as do the Flames...I just see this being inconsequential. GO WINGS!
