Maybe I'm just delusional here, but this is a Red Wings fan site, right? You rambling off prior to the series start isn't going to change any opinions here -- so why bother trying to drill something home after making your original point? It's so repetitive your banter starting to sound like Rain Man around here...

"247 toothpicks... 247.... Too big.... Too big... Roll 4 lines.... Roll 4 lines... Too skilled... I'm an excellent driver... Excellent driver... Time for Wapner... Time for Wapner..."

Wings in 7!

Thats friggin hilarious!! :rotflmao:

"Sam-A-Rainman" or not, spewing his "size issues" (<---- we all know what that means), I am truly excited for this series. I feel that with the exception of the Rangers (sorry Brendan), the 7 remaining teams are the cream of the crop. Should be a damned exciting Semi-Final round!

P.S. wings in 6.

Wakey wakey Wings fans. Time to get your butt-whoopin.... :siren:

You are funny....... Did you skip your 5th grade class to post up here??

Funny....

Wings win. They will roll the 4 lines the Sharks can't stop.

Oh and just in case anyone (Samadelphia) was wondering - ALL four lines of the Wings do score.

You'll find out soon enough.

What!

You dont think Flames Players have anything better to do right now than post on Message Boards?!?!?

Well....

Of course they do, they are watching tape until tonight when they can watch an actual game to see how to win a playoff series. :hehe:

Should be a close serie. I just hope that all the injuries won't be considered as an excuse for any possible failure against the sharks.

I think first game will go in 2 OT!! And Cleary will win it for us with another Shorty!!

a. No I'm not, I'm assuming that the Wings have some physicality but have not faced a team like the Sharks. Not only did the Sharks physicality crush the Wings in the regular season, but they added Guerin and Rivet.

b. All lines can score, but the Wings do not have a 4th line that can match the like of Clowe, Goc, Bernier.

c. Zdeno Chara is vastly overrated. I've said so for 2 years. That being said, there's a reason the experts are nearly unanimous in picking the Sharks. They are huge, they are fast, and they are skilled. They forecheck relentlessly and will wear the Wings down.

d. Again trying to equate what the Wings did to the Flames to what they'll do to the Sharks. The Flames are not in the same league as the Sharks, and you will find out soon.

Sharks in 5...

I just find the idea that the Sharks outclass the Flames a bit funny, since they owned you during the regular season. How do you explain that? Obviously your size and physicality didn't help you against them? Maybe it is that Kipper is the better goaltender. Wait, the Wings beat kipper. I'm just curious, did you notice Aflac's great stats at the beginning of this thread, the Wings have the advantage.

What were the Sharks v. Flames stats again? Oh, that was the regular season, right Sharks fans? It doesn't matter. So, by that logic, the Sharks going 3-1 against the Wings doesn't matter. And futhermore, the Sharks have yet to play the Wings with Calder and Bertuzzi in the lineup, as well as a fully assembled and working PAIN TRAIN!!!

Only if you think it has to be one or the other. The Sharks bring both sensuality and skill. All the time. Every shift. And they're huge. They AVERAGE 6 1/2" and are one of the least penalized teams in the league BECAUSE of their size.

...the physicality, size and relentlessness of the Sharks simply wore them out. I'ld be willing to give it a try though.

That's what you;re going to find.

Root for your big men as much as you want, but you don't have to share your dreams of the trip to manlove lake in the GDT.

On another note: I was lost and now I am found.

I was predicting a Wings loss, but I was thinking about how much better Hasek will play. The injuries will help him stay more busy, and that will help him keep his edge.

An injured Red Wings team won't have trouble getting two goals tonight, and that all they will need.

Aw yeah...

Why Sharks in 5 then? Just say sweep. I don't see how the Wings could possibly win a game against THEE MIGHTY SHARKS. I heard their kinda big and fast. Is that true?

I always leave room for one game where something weird happens. Like that one game in the Preds series where there were like 1000 penalty minutes...

You attend lots of Sharks games, Sam? What's it like in the Shark Tank?

Had season tix for 2 years before I moved away. It's loud. VERY loud. Usually ranks in the top 3 loudest arenas in the league. The ice is AWFUL. Usually rated in the bottom 4 or 5. The puck will take more than it's fair share of weird bounces off the boards, and the glass seems to break more at the tank than in other places, but maybe that's cuz I see it more often.

Sightlines are VERY good and the 2nd deck is very steep.

Hard to believe the Tank is the 7th oldest barn in the league.

What else would you like to know...?

But the Sharks have no flaws. Basically it's 4 1st lines, 2 starting goalies, and 6 Norris caliber dmen. How can they lose one?

Yeah or that one where they owned the sharks all game and they got lucky to win in O.T. Or that other crazy one, where the Sharks got there ass kicked and Radulov got that hat trick?
