seeinred 1,488 Report post Posted May 3, 2007 More cliched non-sense from knee jerky fans. I've been talking about this for two weeks now. YOu types never go away. The Wings played pretty well in that period. If that dinged post was two inches in the other direction, we're tied right now. If those two dinged posts in game 3 go our way, we're up 2-1 in the series. But since they were off my a mere inch or two, it forces knee jerks like you into the reaction that "they don't have heart," or "they don't want to win" or some cliched b.s. like that. Annoying. Bravo. Also I would just like to say, "Joe Thornton, Joe Thornton, Joe Thornton, Joe Thornton. He's the best hockey player ever, look at that manly body! he's dominated the series! He's the best player ever! I wan't to have his babies! Marry me Joe! I stroke it every night to you Joe, but that's not weird because you're amazing!" I am getting sick of that right quick and in a hurry. I thought it would end now that Forsberg doesn't get that kind of treatment from certain announcers, but nope, they just pick a new guy. GoWings1905 2,694 Report post Posted May 3, 2007 Oh wow, Lang-Samuelsson-Bertuzzi on the same line. I am going to have nightmares for weeks. I guess the theory behind this would be they have all been non-productive so lets not have them rub off on anyone else. I cringe everytime these three step on the ice, and to no surprise they were out there for the Sharks goal. The Wings need the next goal desperately, or they may be done for. Hang in there Red Wings! Grypho 195 Report post Posted May 3, 2007 Listen to Kirk Maltby, member of the checking line that's going up against Thornton - he had it nailed down. Work a little harder to win face-offs, pinch down low, and there's still forty minutes of hockey to play. He didn't look the slightest bit fazed by the first period outcome. Neither team is, and both are still very much in this game.
Matt 1,049 Report post Posted May 3, 2007 Well Bertuzzi is just making EJ Hradek right, his weak board play caused that goal to happen. If he would've held on to it or chipped it out, this game is still 0-0. Or you could blame it on Markov... You know, the defenseman that was up playing with the forwards at the blueline and left Chelios to fend for himself with Thornton and Cheechoo flanking him. What is Bert supposed to do?????? He is on a line with 2 dopes.........what is he supposed to carry them?????? Sammy shoots to much and Lang reminds me of Mike Williams We need to get better shots and get them up
J-Swift 0 Report post Posted May 3, 2007 We are playing pretty good. The second period will be better. As soon as I saw the Sharks set up that pass to Cheechoo, I knew it would be a goal. Our defenseman (whoever it was) tried to block the shot towards Hasek with his stick, but he should have kept it in the passing lane. Maybe he didn't know Cheechoo was behind him, who knows. Let's go Wings!!! The defenceman on the play was Chelios. it's hard to fault him there, because he had three Sharks to handle down low. I'm still not sure how that happens when none of the Wings have even left the zone yet.

I'll laugh my ass off if they are the most productive line tonight! Not that I think they will, Bert looks way too rusty, but I'd laugh my ass off non the less! Heroes of Hockeytown 694 Report post Posted May 3, 2007 Ugh... how typical: Wings get iron, get robbed on the big save, Sharks get the goal. Power play is looking solid, though. Let's bust this thing wide open, Wings. One good shot that Nabby can't see and we're back to even.

StayStevieStay 0 Report post Posted May 3, 2007 This game is long from over guys have some faith. Our PowerPlay looked scary and everyone in the building felt it. We just need a good start in the 2nd to get us going.

BuckeyeWingsfan80 209 Report post Posted May 3, 2007 next goal is ours. It has to be. Hopefully. Quite a few Ohio State fans said that about the Michigan Game every year during the 90s....

HockeyCrazy3033 168 Report post Posted May 3, 2007 I can't believe some of you have the NERVE to call yourself Red Wings fans. It's completely pathetic in the way a few of you act when down by a freaking goal. Those of you giving up already, calling it a night, and saying that it's over.. after ONE goal just shows how little you know. Way to be a fan. Do us all a favor and don't even come back when the Wings win. There's no room for fair weather or bandwagon fans. ANYWAYS. Aside from the mistake that led to the goal, I thought the Wings played really well. Excellent PK. Time for us to get the next couple goals and take this back to D-Town tied at 2. Nothing against you, it is just we have a ton of fair weather fans around here. They are likely young (ie under 25) and life as they have always known it has been the Wings dominating in the playoffs except for one team. They assumed the "one" team would be Calgary and now they can't bear to watch a great competitive series. GO WINGS!
