I had a final this morning that I just failed and told myself all night (stayed up studying) not to check the game, or the score until after the test. I came on here dreading a loss, but this may be worse (but not really)! Man I am so glad they won, and so mad I missed the game for some stupid class. I dont ahve anything bad to say about them, you guys do it the right way. BUT there what goes up must come down and the sharks have their best team ever and have only made it to the WCF finals 1 freaking time in their 16 or 17 year history. I guess in another way think of it like this.. Red Wings are the yankee's of the NHL. I know the last few years there has been first round disappointments for your team but BOO FREAKING HOO you guys have won like 10 stanley cups? I dont want to hear it lol. I guess you can say im jealous, but I am tired of seeing the redwings atop of the standing's every year. That would also make me a 'hater' lol, you know what so be it.. I'm tired of the redwings success and I was soo frustrated lastnight I wouldnt fall asleep. I need to stop watching sports. By the way as a sharks fan, I still do not think the sharks have what it takes to win it all. Just beat the dreaded red wings and get swpet in the next round would be good enough for me honestly. The only way it could have been better is if it was game 7 of the SCF. Holy crap, I've been watching the highlights ALL MORNING LONG!!! I'll admit that I was doubting near the end (who wouldn't being down 2-1 against the Sharks) but I never gave up, as evidenced by the fact that I didn't leave the sports bar during the final minute, even though it was full of Sharks fans! I think that was the best part, being in Sharks territory and being the only one cheering after it was all over! Everything after this is just icing on the cake for me, GO WINGS!!!!!!!!!! Even before that when we had a bunch of free agents who WANTED to come play for us, we werent giving them free money, a lot of that money came from our own players who deferred portions of their own salary. Not because of the money. true that!, I'm aware of the salary cap in the NHL and the yankees can pick and choose anyone they want with pretty much no salary cap. and I know players WANT to go to detriot, because it gives them a chance to have success. I understand all of that mess. I hate the red wings because you're good. ;P Blunt enough for you? hehe I hate the predator's because of their fans and they play dirty AT TIMES. I think they have some outstanding players though. I like Karyia, Weber, Hartnell, Suter and Radulov I think all these guys are very skilled and fun to watch! Some people have to take a good look in the mirror why they were in the position they were in on the ice - cheating on the offensive side of things when the other team has pulled their goalie. The Yankees are always good because they have the most money in a sport where there is no salaray cap, and they throw their money around to buy the flavor of the year to up their skill level. Once they're done, they throw 'em to the curb and purchase the next big name. The championships that they win are BOUGHT. Yes, they actually win the games, but c'mon. If anyone else had their money, they'd give 'em a run for their money. The Red Wings don't win cuz they buy the flavor of the year. They win because they're good, and they're good because a number of reasons. Many of our best players have been on the team for years. Don't hate us cuz we're good. Game was only on Versus everywhere... Envoked exclusive rights for that game...Good game to pick in hindsight We got treated to a blast from the past with Dave Strader.... We showed, grit, determination and will in gutting out a 4-2 victory, with dandenault (I think) picking up the GWG in the 3rd). 2006: Game 4 @ EDM was our best game of the series. Lidstrom and Z with two huge 3rd period goals to even the series and send us homee.... 2007: Game 4 @ SJ was our best game of the series. Unrelenting work ethic ties up the game late (weird to say with Lang) and a great OT win. NOW.... Each of these series has followed up with a saturday afternoon homegame on network TV... and in the first two series, we played OUR WORST GAMES OF EACH SERIES. I mean absolutely pathetic, lethargic, inexcusable Lions-esque efforts. GARBAGE. I really hope your right...and I hope the guys remember the disappointing efforts they put forth in the games that followed those great victories. Doing that will motivate them to play the same way, which will lead to a win! At the moment, the Sharks are in the way. because there are two types of people in the world... red wings fans, and red wing "haters". my buddy is a kings fan, who was rooting for the flames, and now is rooting for the sharks. basically whoever the wings are playing... a true "hater". why else do you think everyone outside of JLA chants "red wings suck" at the games?... haters, i tell ya... every last stinkin' one of them.
