chelios4eva 0 Report post Posted May 6, 2007 (edited) Is it just me being biased or has he been amazing this series. I mean he's been stepping up, keeping the puck in, hitting harder, taking the puck away, standing up for other players, and has deflected/blocked numerous amounts of pucks. I think he and Lilja was one of our best defenders this series. Thoughts? Edited May 6, 2007 by chelios4eva
Viperar 16 Report post Posted May 6, 2007 some of the hits he placed today were nuts
Dabura 12,207 Report post Posted May 6, 2007 Early in the series, when all of that junk about the Sharks being "bigger, stronger, younger, faster" was being thrown around by every media outlet, Chelios was cited more than a few times as a key liability for the Wings. Funny how things work out.

Bluedevils_13 0 Report post Posted May 6, 2007 Chelios has played amazing! He has been one of our best D-man, and IMO he deserves some time on the powerplay too, it seems to me he has been getting off a lot of good shots too. Does anyone think we should sit Calder next game so we can dress both Meech and Ericsson to play? I was weighing the pros and cons of this, and it seems to me Calder is getting much time anyways, plus what if something happens to Markov, or some one else, and we are stuck having to play Quincey ALOT more and Meech or Ericsson more?(Quincey has played pretty decent though.) pavyaz19 1 Report post Posted May 6, 2007 I assume he'll get his wish of PP time with Schneider out. Makes me happy, I freakin love Cheli. I just wish he wasn't getting cranked so much. They are hitting him everytime he's on the ice. We CANNOT afford to lose him!
Heroes of Hockeytown 694 Report post Posted May 6, 2007 I assume he'll get his wish of PP time with Schneider out. Makes me happy, I freakin love Cheli. I just wish he wasn't getting cranked so much. They are hitting him everytime he's on the ice. We CANNOT afford to lose him! If Cheli goes down, god forbid, it will be time to engage Total & Complete Panic Mode. I have no interest in activating that worrisome function. Stay healthy, Chris!
norrisnick 1 Report post Posted May 6, 2007 Cheli got 3:04 in PP time Saturday. He was on the ice for Homer's PP goal.
Statts 4 Report post Posted May 6, 2007 I have no video reference but probably 10 years ago, when Chelios was playing in Chicago was he took a slap shot from the point and broke the goalies stick and went five hole and scored a goal. It was AWESOME.
DaKineMaui 8 Report post Posted May 6, 2007 Indeed he deserves some time on the PP...and the PK...and some time doing whatever. I used to hate him when he hacked hacked hacked hacked hacked at #91 skates......but hey! Lookie! - it all worked out! Serious salary cap bargain. Anyways - Not to threadjack here - but the way I see it: The PLAYERS (the ones acting like there is a Stanley Cup to play for) so far are as follows.............. Cleary Chelios Holmstrom Draper Franzen Dom .......took me 3 minutes of staring at the screen to include it/him Yzerman - fingers are locked in this position, my apologies
webwing91 4 Report post Posted May 6, 2007 Yzerman - fingers are locked in this position, my apologies Hey, couldn't agree more. He's probably still acting like he wants the cup more than anyone else.
