puckloo39 5,686 Report post Posted May 18, 2007 So you're basically saying that because Hasek gave up three goals on eight shots, it must be his fault, regardless of the fact that the first goal came as a result of a horrendous giveaway, the second one was deflected directly in front of him, and the third one came as a result of the Wings totally collapsing on a routine even-man rush. But yeah, you're right, it's probably easier to blame Dom. can't imagine why anyone would want to be a goalie in Detroit... except that it is the greatest team in the NHL, maybe? It's always easiest to blame the goalie, especially when most fans expect perfection every night, and then when he fails to deliver they panic. I'm sure he'll respond well like he usually does, but that was a bad period by him. MAYBE the first goal he could have had but that was a rocket. The second was a deflection from a skate which I really wish they would show a replay b/c I'm not so sure it wasn't directed in by the foot but hey I can't tell and the third was like a rubber ball that just hopped under his arm if I'm not mistaken. But yeah, you're right, it's probably easier to blame Dom. i think hasek should have had the 1st and third goal...i mean, he was is position for both, they just beat him...the third was on the bit of the flukey side...selanne just golfs at it.
