The Ducks only have 2.8 million left this year, so even if Selanne and Penner sign for 1 mil each, they'd only have .8 million left for injuries this year. I think Selanne made 4 mil plus bonuses last year and Penner will probably end up getting at least 3 million this year.

I believe he lives around LA. Therefore, I see no way he wants to spend a season in Philly AND the eastern conference. The signings of Schneider and Bert make it seem almost a given he will retire. Makes no sense.

The fact that Eklund lives in Philly and the fact that the Flyers are his favorite team makes this nothing more then something he'd want to see. He has no actual confermation to Selanne going there (yeah, I was surprised too).

I'm just a little shocked he'd didn't say "Selanne to Philly. Sounds like an e5 to me!!!!!!1" That's usually what makes or breaks a deal in his case.

I think everyone is a little hard on Eklund. If you think you are going to visit his site and find that everything he says is fact then your barking up the wrong tree. His site is a rumor site, he gives rumor's. If your into rumors his site is great. He has had some crap but it is what he hears and he tells. It is all about speculation, if you want facts stick to www.tsn.ca. Some of his sources may be the janitor others may be a GM. I know he has broke some pretty good rumors, and he has failed some to. I enjoy his site soley on the excitment of the what if's. I wasn't sold on him when I first went to the site, then when I got the format down it was great. Alot of knowledgable hockey fans and a very active chat room. It is cool. Thats just me though. Some of you think he's an ass bag. While that may or may not be true. He is an ass bag with a way cooler job then me!!!!!
