sticknmove 0 Report post Posted August 16, 2007 Ya I was just wondering if Jason Allison has been signed yet, I know he is slower then hell and is arguably not fit for the NHL, and I am definitly not saying i want to sign him. Its just that someone was saying Vancouver or the Isles were going to nab him and I was wondering if that had happened yet.
theman19 47 Report post Posted August 16, 2007 nope, has not. In fact there are a number of guys like him who've had decent careers that no one's really heard a peep out of. Mike Johnson, Alyn McCauly, and Jason Allison havn't had a single rumor that i've seen attached to them getting signed.

Hank 0 Report post Posted August 16, 2007 Jason Allison is a piece of crap and it's not just because he sucks. This guy truly believes he deserves at least $3M a year and the fact that he's gonig to sit out another year waiting for it shows you he has no heart for the game. If he truly loved hockey and wanted to play he'd take a lower amount and show the NHL he's worth more. Selanne and Guerin, among others, have done this in the past 2 years so I don't see why Allison thinks he's above this. Good riddance to an overrated, slow peice of garbage. I hope he's happy living in obscurity and I hope he made enough money so we never have to endure watching his slow ass coast around the ice looking for cheap PP points. Mike Johnson, Alyn McCauly, and Jason Allison havn't had a single rumor that i've seen attached to them getting signed. That makes sense since teams should be a little reluctant to sign guys that have injury riddled careers. Allison was an all-star calibur player for several years, but he can't seem to ever stay healthy. If I'm a GM, I wouldn't gamble on these guys either. Is that honestly the reason why he's sitting out? I did not know that, what a cow.
DEVILSWATERBOY 10 Report post Posted August 16, 2007 How times change I remember watching Allison Harvey and Carnes with the JR Wings years ago none of these 3 really had what I would call great careers , these guye are 4 liners for weaker teams my opinion Allison do yourself and hockey fans a favor retire

Hank 0 Report post Posted August 16, 2007 i want brent sopel here remember we lost schideer and our D is lacking rafalski is better but not on tht PP I heard that he wasn't picked up yet and I was wondering if he'd be a good fit for this team. Another right handed Dman who can shoot is never a bad thing. But I imagine he'd want $3M plus. Ive heard rumors of the Nucks and Isles being interested in Allison at about 1M per. That's what he was offered last season by a few clubs, but he turned them down thinking they were insulting offers. He really, really beleives he's worth around $3M per year. What a joke. My 10 month old son could outskate this clown.
irishtemper14+25 11 Report post Posted August 16, 2007 i wouldnt mind signing a dman that can shoot to play opposite to lids on the pp, but i wouldnt give up a lot of cap room for him
Kp-Wings 3 Report post Posted August 16, 2007 Allison is, without a doubt, the slowest and laziest player in the NHL. Considering the treatment we gave Lang, Allison would be hated just as badly if not worse.

He's overrated offensively and can't do anything physical out there.
Legionnaire11 0 Report post Posted August 16, 2007 this is the salary cap. young studs and stars in their prime will be paid. aging veterans will have to accept less to continue playing if they really love the game.

SweWings 45 Report post Posted August 16, 2007 If he wants money I bet there's a team in Russia who would be interested in him but otherwise I think he'll have to reconsider his demands (if he actually does want around $3M).
cusimano_brothers 1,655 Report post Posted August 28, 2009 Inching that much closer to the Cup; from The Globe and Mail: The Toronto Maple Leafs have granted a tryout to veteran forward Jason Allison. The 34-year-old will attend the Leafs training camp without a contract next month, even though he hasn’t played in the NHL since his 2005-06 season. That season with the Leafs was cut to 66 games after he suffered a hand injury.
