He was always one of those guys in the background who I thought helped the team. He wasnt a star - but he didnt have any glaring flaws in his game either. Dandy was a way better player, and I take him back over either of them immediately. Lebda sucks? Well that's a first! I couldn't disagree more. Despite my dislike for Andreas, he doesn't suck either. He had the right idea in mind, and just slipped with Ducks players all over him. Where was his partner? That's my point really. It bugs me that he gets bashed on for that goal seeing as how he was the only one who scored for the Wings in that game. It was a mistake and one moment shouldn't out do a really good post season. I just flat out like Dandy better! haha. But really it doesnt matter cause Lilja is a Wing and Dandy is a Hab. I was just bringing up memories of old Wings..thats all! I hope Lilja doesnt turn into that guy for the Wings, he doesnt deserve it. Remember when Bob Essensa came to the Wings? I LOVED that trade..I think i was 9 at the time and he was my fav. goalie for the Jets, and the trade happened just in time for him to play against the Oilers in Edmonton..it just worked out that it was the first game i ever went to. On this Wings team, with so much mobitly from the back end (Lidstrom, Rafalski, Kronwall) I would take Lilja, and hiis size, durabilty, grit, and shot blocking (don't laugh!!!!) over what both Lebda and Dandenault have to offer (speed ). Especially after the awesome post season he had. First of all, I don't like Lebda. I have my reasons. Second of all, he doesn't really suck per say, but he majorly overated around here. I hate it when people come off and claim he is far beyond years over Kronwall, because that is not true. Lebda is a #6 defenseman, at best, and really offers nothing except the occasional end-to-end rush goal that comes once a season. The Wings have enough offensive defenseman, so Lebda has no place on this team in my opinion. He doesn't even put up that good of numbers, and he's small and easily overpowered. Lilja does suck. Sorry, but he does. That mistake in Game 5... that was about the 3rd or 4th time he did that over the course of the season, every time resulting in a goal. Maybe it's more or less my disliking for both of them, but I still wish they were both gone. Dandy wasn't overly special either: but I still like him more then those two. LOL As far as Lebda and Kronner go. I will pick Nik over him any day of the week. That being said I like Lebda's game. He's got great speed, and is smart with the puck. Thank God we got rid of him. fyi: seems he is listed as a forward now. Not suprising. He was a LW for awhile when he first came to Detroit. I think it was Dave Lewis that started Dandy's defensive career. So im guessing he will probably go back to left-winger for the Habs. And honestly, that's where he should be.
