I look forward to Carter retiring without ever having tainted the winged wheel. Luckily we didn't draft him so there isn't much of a chance of him coming "back."

Don't worry, you're excused. People use poor judgment all the time, no reason for us to beat up on you for it.

Carter had a whopping 11 goals and 27 points. Wow, that's great. He was a pretty good player about 7-8 years ago, but since that period the only year he did anything he had the Sedin twins to make him look good and feed him the puck all day long. I guess if we wanted to showcase the brilliance that is Anson Carter we could stick him with Z and Dats and make it the Anson Carter show.

The guy is a washed up bum. He consistently asks for too much money and he has proven he cannot produce without stellar linemates nor does he have the work ethic to generate his own scoring chances.

Sammy may not be high on my list either but at least the guy is consistent despite not playing top level minutes. Had he not missed 29 games last year i'm pretty sure he'd have gotten 6 more goals to get him to the 20 goal mark for the 2nd straight year. Even so, he still outproduced Carter.

And he's younger, a little bigger, works harder than Carter and doesn't demand 2x what he's worth like Carter does. Hence why we find Mr. Carter on the outside of an NHL job right now trying to eek his way back into the game.

i was hoping the wings would give him a shot a little while ago, but he obviously played like crap last year. he's one of those guys that for some reason i believe has potential, even though i don't have much evidence to back that up. in my mind, i imagine him playing for detriot and getting 25 goals. ah, the mind of a child....
