This is classic "mountain out of a molehill" reporting. Of course, I'm biased because I've met Schneider and he was incredibly nice. But still, this is a nothing story.

And Anaheim is far from done. Honestly, why do people who've followed hockey for any length of time write teams off in early November? The season is incredibly long, people, and as long as you get in the playoffs, you've got a shot.

I agree with most that it sounds like a joke and I can't say I blamed him for going to Anaslime, although it doesn't look like a good move so far. Still I wish the best for Matt except when against the Wings.

While I like that the Ducks are struggling season is not even a 1/4 over. I mean look at how bad Atl started and they are only 3 points out of the final playoff spot right now.

As for his comments I think it's mostly a joke. And if somehow it isn't then ok good. Rafalski is better and the team is 11-2-1. Not a big deal.

I have tickets to Stars/ Ducks game in Dallas, 11/21, and am looking forward to seeing all the Ex-Wings there.

I wish I thought that Dallas was going to beat them...

I think its more of the fact that people feel the need to portray him in a bad light to justify his leaving detroit. Its easier to move on if they dont like the guy now, even if they did before.

Schneider didn't turn his back on the Wings, even if some around here want to makes themselves believe it. He loved L.A. the last time he was out there. That team offered him more money. They play a hard nosed style that even Schneids had quoted "enforcers are like nukes... once your opponent has one, you want one too." Plus, heading to the the team that just won a Cup isnt the worst of places to head to (eventhough it seems like there is a hangover curse as of late).

He was a team guy while he was here, offered additional leadership, and brought enthusiasm and humor to an already great team. To me and others, he sometimes stood out on a team that has many future HOFers on it. And that says a lot.

He did what was best for him. Wings would have loved to have kept him. It just didnt work out that way. No harm, no foul.

I can't believe the amount of people here that are offended by what Schneider says. Is it really that big of a deal what everyone thinks of the Wings? Does everybody have to like this team because we do? I'm honestly starting to think that's some people's line of thinking around here.

He was more than likely joking anyways. He's got a good sense of humor, and all he did was tell a joke at that moment. Stop trying to paint him as a bad guy, because he's not at all.

Let it go. Schneider hasn't done anything wrong, so stop trying to make it look like he has.

Hahaha I like schneids i was just taken aback that he would say something like that when babs obviously did believe in him. It came off as cocky, but I am not hating him just because he signed with the ducks. As bad as some people are knocking matty...just as bad are how people supporting schneids overract as well.

Nothing is already obvious in November in hockey. You should know that . It's not like they had a long playoff run or anything . Anyways....... he is just saying for the shootouts not overall.. Not a horrible thing to say. Pretty much said what warrior had to say lol but i quess the point is out there. So much Schneider bashing lately.
