11/11 GDT: Blackhawks 3, Red Wings 2

The thing that makes the Hawks so tough is that they really play a different game than any other team we have played. They are so incredibly aggressive and we aren't used to it. We don't have our usual time and space to make passes and gets things set up, particularly on the power play. The Blackhawks are doing a really nice job of getting up in our faces and stopping things before they can start.

I'd like to say we come back in the third, but the Wings have obviously decided the Hawks arent good enough to play against.

3-1 will be the final score, everyone will jump all over Osgood, hope on the Kopecky bandwagon, and get all over Datsyuk for not scoring. What a week this is gonna be!

Unfortunately, you're right. But I think Osgood has played fine, Kopecky is showing promise but still has plenty of work to do on his game, and basically this game has shown that if our top line gets shut down, the Wings have a hard time scoring.

(That's in no way a knock on Dats)

I'm the same way. Lilja never seems to have average nights. He's either one of the best defensemen on the ice...or the absolute worst. Tonight, it's the latter. Although, Kronwall is making a bid for that spot tonight too. <_<

He's looked pretty bad out there tonight. The passing hasnt been as good as normal, not much of the grinding stuff from the Wings, not winning many faceoffs either. Perrault and Lang are killing us in that dept.

I didnt expect Kane and Toews to contribute as they have, honestly when havlat went down game one (I expected him to go down, just not that early). I didnt think we would be doing as well as we have with no havlat.

Yeah Chicago hands down has the top 2 Calder Trophy Candidates...

Sounds like they're playing playoff style-hockey during the regular season, how dare they!?

lol at the doubters who doubted Patrick "The Man" Kane

Just one more period to go.

Toews with the empty netter.

Quit making the rest of us "Hawks fans look bad.

Behave with some class and dignity.

Now yall know why we don't want him on our boards.

Who is your best replacement for Lilja he just looks flat. I am impressed with the grit that the Red Wings show.

Draper as usual is dominating faceoffs, but yeah, Z is getting killed. He's won 3 and lost 8.

This game was always going to be a worry. I saw the game against Nashville and I commented on how poor I felt the defence played. They're repeating the performance tonight. I'm underwhelmed by Rafalski and Lilja is just useless.

Robert Lang's Contract Negotiation with Chicago:

GM: Mr. Lang we are willing to give you you're $3.8 million of last year over 2 years.

Lang: I want an extra 200,000 million for babysitting half the team since they are too young to be out on their own at night.

GM: Okay but you'll also have to hold their hands and walk them across the street.

Lang: SOLD. But I'm not changing any diapers...

we should have paid Kid Rock to take them out last night, instead of the Wings, maybe?

I am glad for Bobbert, by the way... just wish he wouldn't take it out on us, though.
