Dont know where I should put this, since I cant start a topic.

But I didnt know that z played injured during his years in nhl. According to a newspaper in sweden he got help this summer and are now playing his first season without this injury (wrist). Before, he needed to take heavy drugs to be able to play. But this season he can finally play without drugs after a swedish doctor helped him out. Maybe thats one reason why he is so good now.

Weakest game by Wings...

I would have to agree.. the limited time i watched.. they played weaker than a HS team whom hasn't won in 65 games.

Yeah he's always had wrist problems. I suspect he's somewhat of a Stevie clone as he plays with pain and doesn't really complain...and other various reasons as well. The wrist, along with his back, probably prompted him to undergo more intensive therapy which seems to be working out.

He's also like Stevie in the way he can still be one of the best players in the NHL, while he's injured :D

That - and the fact that the Hawks have quietly amassed some decent talent.

Gee, thought the sarcasm was clear.

Central is close to the strongest division in the league right now.

Khabibulin always plays well against us, and he reminds me of one of those hot goalies that we always struggle with in the playoffs. Oh, and what's up with Lang and Williams? It's not funny anymore that these guys play twice as hard against us than they did for us. Like I said the last time we played them, I hope we don't meet them in the playoffs.

Do you mean this season, because Khabi has sucked or been mediocore at best against the Wings ever since he joined the Hawks. Two seasons ago he was chased in 3 straight games against Detroit. Last season the Wings took 15 of a possible 16 points against Chicago (with Khabi starting 6 of the 8 games.

He had a stellar final *full* game against the Wings last season stopping 56 of 58 shots in one game, but other than that and depending on what you consider playing well against us, I would beg to differ as to Khabi always playing well against us.

Just got back from the game. God, I love Chicago (the city) and everything, but Blackhawks fans are pricks. I wasn't wearing any Detroit garb, so I wasn't targeted, but the ratio of "Detroit Sucks" to "Let's Go Hawks" chants was probably 10:1. It's just ridiculous. The arena itself though was actually quite nice. Very antiseptic, but good sight lines all around. The other thing that I really liked about the Chicago fans was that they were inspired throughout the game without some jumbotron having to tell them to make noise. I kind of wish Wings fans still had that fire in them.

Word,

Most of those are new fans, that place couldn't draw flies for a long time.

I was at the game last night, a few notes...

- I have, since I was a kid, hated Blackhawk fans and after tonight I've seen nothing new. I swear their fans only show up to give Detroit fans s*** if they win. The average attendance at the United is usually in the 12000's but last night was packed. Their fans are such pricks, even a little kid had the guts to talk s*** to me (btw, I only wore a Red Wings hat). I've been to games against the Wings in many US cities but their fans are just so pathetic it's hilarious. I pretty much lost count how many of them I told to suck my balls.

- This might be cliche, but everything Lilja did was a disgrace. I swear to god does this guy ever stop himself before a pass and think? After Rafalski's penalty, Lilja had two very good opportunities to clear the zone with ample time, instead he lost the puck, lost his stick, and Chicago scored. I was speechless.

- I love Rafalski, but tonight was not his night. I don't know what it was but he was about a second off on everything. Enough said.

- Chicago did a good enough job containing the ZDH line, but they all looked a little off in their own right. Babs mixed up the lines but I swear this made everyone play even worse.

- I actually like Sammy a lot, but last night he made my head hurt. He was definitely shooting the puck (in the legs, sticks, and everything else Chicago put in front of him). Ugh

-Tuomo Ruutu can also suck my balls, the wacks he was giving Datsyuk throughout the game was ridiculous. It's too bad Downey wasn't playing, but Kopecky's fight was fun to watch.

- On that note, no one seemed to really have a good night. Lidstrom made unbelievable smart plays as usual, but even he didn't seem himself. Weird. Hudler was definitely our most offensively aware player last night.

- Seeing Kid Rock on the jumbo tron made my night, you definitely saw lots of Wings go nuts but Chicago fans drowned anything out with boos. It was almost as cool as getting a warm up puck from Drapes before the game, and seeing Chelios mess with Hasek. LOL

I had a great time regardless of the score, and I don't think this game is anything to fret. I just hate losing the the Blackhawks, especially 3 times in a row.......

John Cusack was at the game too, did they show him on the jumbotron too?

Largest crowd at a Hawks game too. Nice to see the Wings can still draw fans on the road too.

I think you mean Joan Cusack? Either way, no they didn't show her on the tron but Kid Rock was the only Wings fan they showed all night lol.
