b.shanafan14 733 Report post Posted November 21, 2007 who the hell is voting for HASEK?! he shouldn't even be on the radar, but he is third in voting for goalies. Does a name carry him that far?! We need to get the votes up on Rafalski, he is producing his ass off

We need to get the votes up on Rafalski, he is producing his ass off It's fans voting. It doesn't matter how the player is doing. If Hasek had an injury before the season even started, he would still get votes. The casual NHL fan at least knows Hasek.
HockeyCrazy3033 168 Report post Posted November 21, 2007 Great for Hank, Dats and Lids! Ozzie needs to be up there. He's pretty much better than all the goaltenders in that list this season aside from Leclaire.
Elshupacabra 0 Report post Posted November 21, 2007 (edited) Hasek is ahead of Kipper!?!? Edited November 21, 2007 by Elshupacabra
OsGOD 3 Report post Posted November 21, 2007 (edited) What a joke.... sorry Eff that... a goalie with a 85.9 Sv% is effing 3rd in ALL-STAR VOTING??? The NHL has gone to s*** as far as talent it appears.. Sorry that is just pathetic. That and the humans allowing this to happen are stoopid too Edited November 21, 2007 by OsGOD
Booster313 138 Report post Posted November 21, 2007 Nice looks like the Wings will be well represented in the allstar game this year. It also looks like he majority knows that Dom is an allstar caliber goalie and he will turn it around. Hasek is ahead of Kipper!?!? Kipper's stats are worse than Dom's this year...I am disappointed not to see Ozzy getting any votes though.
Guest jaytan Report post Posted November 21, 2007 Hasek is getting votes? What the hell is going on here? Is this voting for the All-Overpaid-Washed-Up Game? Does the NHL want to give Sid as many goals as possible to pump up ratings?
PenaltyShot 96 521 Report post Posted November 21, 2007 I find it interesting that Henrik Sedin has about 1300 more votes than Daniel Sedin. Who votes for only one twin? I'd think people who are going to vote Sedin vote would them in as a pair
dustin35 0 Report post Posted November 21, 2007 Thats really great for the rest of the wings but it ******* pisses me off to see hasek 3rd in votes like that and ozzie not even there at all. if it wasent for ozzie we wouldnt have the recrod we have. dom would of lost alot of them games. I hate the all star game and how its picked.
interminded 1 Report post Posted November 21, 2007 (edited) Well.. we all seem to have the same feelings about this "Who wants to be an All Star" voting.. Great acknowledgement for Hank, Pavel and Lids, but Dom shouldn't be there. However, like someone asked before .. Does a name carry you this far ? Yes, I'm suprised too... but it does. Ozzie really should have been on there. I voted for him... 30 times. And Jonathan Cheechoo ?????????????? The dude has 3 goals in 21 games !!!! wtf !!! Yes, I'm suprised too... but it does. All it does is condone his performance... Ah look dom is just fine... he is an *god forbid* all-starter starter.. I dunno that would be a huge embarrasement to the league.
Viperar 16 Report post Posted November 21, 2007 lets concentrate on how awesome it looks if we get dats Z and lids there, and not turn this into the billionth goalie discussion thread, thanks

I'd think people who are going to vote Sedin vote would them in as a pair Yeah, that is interesting, the two are basically the same player except one is a passer (Henrik) and the other is a shooter (Daniel). Their stats are remarkably similar since the lockout (well, since they started in the NHL really): Henrik - 184 gp - 176 pts Daniel - 183 gp - 174 pts
OsGOD 3 Report post Posted November 21, 2007 (edited) I just want to turn into the joke voting it is... Real talent represent by current performance should be voted on... NOT PAST CRAP... and that goes for like Interminded said above... Cheechoo... sure he has funny commericals but he sucks ass this season. Let put the Patrick Kanes and Towes out there on the big boys all-star team. Edited November 21, 2007 by OsGOD
HenrikRules40 14 Report post Posted November 21, 2007 Hold the phone everyone! This thread is supposed to be about how awesome Z, Dats, and Lids are! Which, honestly, they are. This year is the year we represent at the All-Star game. This thread is NOT about who we think deserves a vote between our goalies. I'm really beginning to think LGW as a whole has ADD. This year is the year we represent at the All-Star game. This thread is NOT about who we think deserves a vote between our goalies. I'm really beginning to think LGW as a whole has ADD. That's nice and all, but what would be the point of the thread if it was just to be about how awesome it is for Z, Dats and Lids are? The thread would either have no comments at all, or simply be posts such as: Yeah!! Awesome!! Etc. What is the point of that?
BeeRYCE 2 Report post Posted November 21, 2007 I'm honestly surprised that Z is ahead of Iggy. Not to say he isn't having the better year, but it's kind of surprising, and excellent.

Their stats are remarkably similar since the lockout (well, since they started in the NHL really): Henrik - 184 gp - 176 pts Daniel - 183 gp - 174 pts I couldn't remember which was which, but indeed the fans want the passer more than the shooter. Not what I would have guessed. Kudos also to Patrick Kane, he was pretty high up as the lone write-in on the list And now even more motivation to vote for our boys - surely Datsyuk can take the second spot from Iginla

The thread would either have no comments at all, or simply be posts such as: Yeah!! Awesome!! Etc. What is the point of that? no you can discuss the other candidates, and while hasek comes into mind, ozzie vs dom is not the issue in the voting and therefore, there are billions of other threads to post that stuff in, personally I am sick of it and dont want to read it in threads that I pruposely do not gear anywhere near that direction

GMRwings1983 8,804 Report post Posted November 21, 2007 Wait till all those idiot Canuck fans start voting. Then the voting will be skewed heavily in their favor. This is just the beginning of the process so far.
OsGOD 3 Report post Posted November 21, 2007 If mine was taken as an Ozzie vs. Dom one i am sorry.. it wasn't it was a 85.9 Sav% goalie getting put into the TOP THREE in voting.... Totally leaving Ozzie out just as the ballot makers have done. Maybe they All-star games should be like the EA SPORTS NHL games... they come out each year but they refference the players that were good the PREVIOUS year. Come on this is a joke! Not living in the US, I wouldn't know if this is true or not, but I wonder if part of it is because Z would be more recognizable in the US because he plays for Detroit?
