Is Pavels recent surge too little too late for him to make the all star team or does he still stand a shot. I personally voted for him today where as two weeks ago i left him off of my ballot. So what do you guys think too little too late GO WINGS

he's got enough vote's to make it in, so I don't see why he wouldn't play.

He probably won't make it since the West will have so many centers already on the roster, giving the coaches more pressure to pick wingers. Here are some of the centers to pick from: Zetterberg, Getzlaf, Thornton, Ribeiro, Camallerri, Stastny, Langkow, Boyes, Datsyuk. All these guys are having all-star seasons, but obviously, all won't make the roster, especially when you consider all the great wingers that I didn't mention. But you never know, there's always injuries or guys that pull out of the game if they don't feel like playing.

I thought if he finishes anywhere in the top three vote getters for forwards he starts automatically? If he isn't a starter then the question of competition does indeed come into play and when you stack him up with the other names mentioned in this thread I still say he should be on the team. BTW, does anyone know where I can find the updated vote totals for the all star game?

If I'm not mistaken it does not matter which position you play offensively. If you are voted for starting lineup you'll be there. Dats now is second in votes in Western Conference right after Zet.

So right now we have 3 outta 5 spots. And though he wont be a starter, it is very realistic that Raf will be added by the coach. Though, Homer is no where in site. I thought he would atleast have cracked the bottom of that list.

Yeah I got that. But I was just checkin the fan voting, and I thought Homers name would have atleast climbed to the bottom of the list. But he is nowhere in sight. It would just be funny if the Starters for the All star game were Z-Dats-Homer, and Nick and Rafi on the point.

So, there's a long ways to go with the all-star voting and all that stuff. He's all but in, in all likelihood.
