Detroit # 1 Fan 2,204 Report post Posted December 21, 2007 Yay!!! For Downey. for Homer.
johnnyoski 0 Report post Posted December 21, 2007 Definitely stinks having Homer out. With Downey in we have a possibility of a rematch vs. Fedoruk. He was lucky Boogard wasn't dressed last time they played (and admitted it in the pregame interview).
auxlepli 17 Report post Posted December 21, 2007 The knee-to-knee went unpenalized too right? I didn't see the game. Should a penalty have been called in the collision?
wingnut40 176 Report post Posted December 21, 2007 Well at least Downey will get to play. Now there's no one to tip pucks in. The 2nd line's got Cleary and the 3rd has Franzen... poor Homer
lfd250 1 Report post Posted December 21, 2007 So if they have to wait til Sat does that mean it's swolen and can't be done now??
Flip-check 6 Report post Posted December 21, 2007 The knee-to-knee went unpenalized too right? I didn't see the game. Should a penalty have been called in the collision? That it did. I'd have to watch a replay a couple more times but it looked like he stuck his knee out just enough.. I hope this doesn't take him out for a while. Regardless though it's good he skated off under his own power.
dicksmack 33 Report post Posted December 21, 2007 The hyperextension Homer did certainly didn't look good; however, he did skate off by himself. Homer could have damage but is just one tough hombre, so we'll have to wait. Man we need that guy...
RedWingedKitten 9 Report post Posted December 21, 2007 Damn. I will miss him on saturday. However it's better now than later.

He was lucky Boogard wasn't dressed last time they played (and admitted it in the pregame interview). The "PAIN TRAIN" will take care of boogaard. Downey should just concentrate on Fedoruk who's more evenly matched for him.

Guest DetroitIan Report post Posted December 21, 2007 i really like downey in the game and wish he had played against the blues Yeah you and me both. Would have been nice to see Barrett "I only get tough with non-fighers" Jackman try that s*** on Pavel with Downey in there. Downey would have beat the piss out of that *****. I remember a few years back Jackman was trying to fight Igor Larionov. Jackman is the biggest puss in the league.

Jackman is a s***bag (just look at his face for crying out loud) but he's not really a spot picker since he will fight against fighters from time to time.. It's just that every now and then he goes after someone who he knows he has no chance of losing to. I honestly don't know why the hell Babcock would sit Downey against a divisonal opponent. Oh I know that Jackman will fight fighters sometimes as well(i was sorta exaggerating with the nickname, barely lol). But it just erks me to no end, when I see a guy trying to get tough and trying to fight a skinny superstar that doesn't fight. It's the biggest ***** move ever. And I just wish Downey would have been in their to teach a lesson or two. And yeah I totally agree, it's even more important to have Downey in their against teams from our dvision. To atleast show that we will not be pushed around. Edited December 22, 2007 by DetroitIan

Lou_Siffer 1 Report post Posted December 22, 2007 Didn't you know that all the threads here wind up talking about either fighting or Hasek vs. Osgood? Who do you think would win in a fight between Hasek and Osgood? I say Osgood kills him.
PenaltyShot 96 521 Report post Posted December 22, 2007 (edited) I remember a few years back Jackman was trying to fight Igor Larionov. Don't underestimate The Professor, recall he threw down against Forsberg that fateful March 26 ten years ago Homer missed a few games with a sore knee already, does anyone know if he hyperextended the same knee? If so, that would really suck for Homer. Get well soon! Oh and yay Downey! Edited December 22, 2007 by PenaltyShot

Donaldjr2448 43 Report post Posted December 22, 2007 i really like downey in the game and wish he had played against the blues Well it looks like he will get 2 shots at the blows in the next couple of weeks. I think Andy Murray needs to remember we got his a@# fired from LA, don't think we won't destroy the Blows too!! Sorry I'm a bit ticked from Thursday nights game. vangvace 12 Report post Posted December 22, 2007 Who do you think would win in a fight between Hasek and Osgood? I say Osgood kills him. No way, Hasek will lure him in by falling to the ice. Then when Osgood is celebrating, Hasek will pull out a steel chair, wait I mean rollerblade and it's lights out Osgood WWE style. Almost more seriously though it's a draw with slight edge to Osgood for age
