I thought that the NHL was giving the teams the option to switch material a couple of months ago. I seem to remember there being an article that the Sens were complaining so much about how much the new material sucked.

Now my question, will this reduce the price of the jerseys to the fans? I thought that they were so expensive because of the bad ass new material that was going to be used on them. Now that they are not that material, well i would think that the price would be going down.

Well, they needed some excuse for their pathetic season.

The capitals have the talent, and the youth. The problem they had early on this season has already been taken care of. The coach nice guy and all but Glen Hanlon had to go. New coach and the team has been playing well since.

Few days back they beat the Sens 8-6 with Ovechkin getting 4 goals. Thats crazy, I now teams have off games, but the Sens in my opinion one of the best in the league, and not easily beaten this year, so for the Caps which are last place in their division and getting worse year after year after signing more talent, beat them 8-6, that tells me the Caps have potential just need to adjust to the new coaching system and play better hockey.

I think it's up to the individual players as to what mterial they want... but the fan's jerseys are't changing.

Teams go through 6 sets of home and away jerseys each year (if memory serves me, it might be 8). Not entirely true. One of the features of the new RBK NHL jersey is a four-way stretch mesh. That's an exclusive feature to the authentic jersey's. However the replica jersey's feature similar technology, just a cheaper version that is only two-way stretch.

I didn't go into the details, but that is more or less what I said. The replica's that fans buy aren't what the players wear. The only way to get what the players wear is to buy the authentic ones, which coincidently cost even more.
