The BJ's are picking up a player for the stretch run? I guess they really really really want to make the playoffs at least once. It's just wierd seeing them as buyers at the trade deadline for once, even if they don't plan on going deep into the playoffs.

So what's the details here? Is Tarnstrom in the last year of a deal or is the Oil just trying to shed salary? Does Glencross have any upside?

Tarnstrom hasn't really been all that good but it could work out nicely for the BJ's if he could play up to his potential down the stretch. Oiler's get some salary off the book's I imagine and the BJ's get a guy with some potential.

Kind of funny that there is a Dick playing for the BJ's ... ...yep I'm 29 with the maturity of a 17 year old!!

Tarnstrom is decent. He used to be a real big point producer for the Penguins pre-lockout, so he has the potential. He probably needs more ice time, since he wasn't getting it in Edmonton.
