Lou_Siffer 1 Report post Posted February 7, 2008 I applaud you for acknowledging some skillful hard nosed players as opposed to talentless GOONS. Riley Cote and Derek Boogaard were next in line for Honorable mentions ill have you know
Majsheppard 203 Report post Posted February 7, 2008 hmmmm my fav goalie is going to be Manny, just because he is making it. Kudos. I think Dion, Koivu, Sedin (guess which ), Gaborik, and oh man is this a tough call. I want to say someone like Dandy or Smolinski or Rolston.... I am going to go with Cammalari. Just because. How sad it it that there are no fighters in the group per say. Probert bests them all!!

Lou_Siffer 1 Report post Posted February 7, 2008 Forgot Cote, love that guy. Cant stand Boogie however. BTW, whats wrong with liking goons? Funny guys, who work hard and fight, sounds good to me. Well, i think what Bee said just goes back to my list in that favorites from every team thread, he was probably under the impression that i liked ONLY goons, which is understandable. But anyways yeah, me and goons = nothing but love. Not enough to make the cut, but i gotta admit i check the boxscore every Flyers game looking for Steve Downie's name. And i dont mean just in the penalties, i mean in the score sheet hoping he did something. Its happening and i cant help it, im definitely starting to like him. Lou_Siffer 1 Report post Posted February 7, 2008 (edited) No Lou, No! Why Downie?? I couldnt tell you for sure, but its probably because im demented! In all seriousness ive always gravitated towards guys who cause issues on the ice as they make things exciting, for as long as they are willing to show up and scrap on occasion. Downie reminds me totally of Avery (who i also like), in terms of having ability and s*** starting. Corey Perry as well. He's going to be somewhere in the middle...a 20-25 goal, 6 or 7 fights a year guy. The fact that he's dirty tends not to bother me as long as he's willing to fight at times, hell i used to love Marchment.
