interminded 1 Report post Posted February 8, 2008 Man, some of us are really f-ing spoiled. We lost a game, so be it. What ? You guys thought this would be a stroll through the park and we would win 65 games ? Not gonna happen.... we lost to the Kings for God's sake ! And here's the suprise: we will probably lose some more along the way. That's probably a good thing though. Being confident when the playoffs starts is one thing... being cocky because you think we're close to unbeatable is another. A loss every now and then is a good thing. Keeps us grounded. Another thing: Don't say: I love Ozzie to death, BUT ...... * ADD RANDOM BASHING HERE * People who love Ozzie (or every other player for that matter) don't say that. If you have constructive criticism, that's okay. But if you wanna trash a player, have the balls to do just that, without the " I really like ****, but.../ I love him to death, but.... / I've always supported ****, but.... tazzer82 0 Report post Posted February 8, 2008 I don't see why a select couple here are blaming the loss on Oz. The whole team pretty much gave up before he did, and if not for him showing some sort of effort, the score could have been alot worse than what it was. I couldn't see the game, so I don't know if there were "bad" goals or not, nor do I care at this point. It just pisses me off that a couple are ready to string up Oz and say it's time to put Dom back in, just because they think he hasn't been good since the ASG. Get over it. Every goalie deserves to have an off night, Oz included. If Brodeur has a bad night, you don't see the Devils fans calling for him to sit and them to play Weekes more often. I am a masochist, so I peeked. Anyone else who suggests the game might have had a better outcome, had Ozzie stopped a couple of those , gets an immediate and stern reprimand for saying so. From what I've read in the game stories today, the loss was due to our stinky powerplay and otherwise, all the goals were the defense's fault. That's how it is. Four goals on eight shots? There would be a dozen people here wanting to bench Dom or run him out of town. Ozzie "had a rough night." So, no worries, OsGod. No one is dissing Ozzie at all. It's not allowed. Being up 3-1 going into that third would have looked silly to pull your goalie... Nothing against Ozzie, but when you give up 2 straight goals in the 3rd to allow a game we were DOMINATING in, you need to get your ass pulled to the bench. I didn't see us dominating anything last night... Powerplay sucked ass, we scored all three goals on horrific shots and just happened to get in three somehow. Sure i guess i was talking about that game 7 years ago... geez its been so long i almost forget about that.... seriously i cared so little i almost passed out remembering that night in OT at JoeVision at like 2am in the morning. We don't yank Lil' Ja and he cost us the cup last year... If it helps out all we bought a team the next year that did in fact win that cup... its all good you can rest easy now. Happy thoughts A breakaway... did we score? Anywho its a regular season loss why all the freak outs... its ozzie 4th this season.... you gotta expect some losses here and there. You mean when Lapointe went to the box about 3 times in a matter of 6 minutes, and when there were two 5 on 3's in the last 8 minutes of the game in which the Wings could not kill off for the life of them. That game was in no way Osgood's fault. It's not his problem that they decided to play undisciplined in the last few minutes of the game. He and Kozlov were the only two players that showed up in that series, and ironically enough the only 2 Holland decided to get rid of that summer. And the Wings were by no means dominating last nights game. They dominated the first, the Kings stuck it to 'em the rest of the game. I love how the 2001 season is brought up because it SO relevant to what is going on this season against the Kings. LA was having problems clearing the puck. We were dominating their offensive zone. They took over the game in the 3rd. You guys don't ever watch baseball? The starter starts to wear down, and in comes the BULLPEN! Hasek should have been put in the game. Holland got rid of Ozzie and Kozzie...and we got a Cup the next year.
