Stuart and Fedorov

kronwall and 2nd for stuart

Sammy, Lilja, and 3rd for fed

Bring up quincey

that is the only trade that ive read in this thread that actually makes sense and may be accepted by the other teams. I like it, good call.

I'd love to see Stuart and Sundin.

Won't hold my breath.

(Hossa would be my first choice at forward, but considering I think the Wings would HAVE to sign him to an extension I think it would potentially bork the cap situation in 2010 and beyond.)

Stuart is exactly what the defense needs, IMO, and I couldn't help but envision Sundin helping coordinate the 2nd PP unit on Sunday.

I highly highly doubt he will trade Kronwall

i didnt say holland would do it, all im saying is this trade would make sense for the other teams GMs. i mean....you cant honestly believe that atlanta would take hudler, meech, and a 2nd for hossa, or something rediculous like that. itd take more like flip, hudler, 1st and 2nd for hossa.

If you want a defenceman that won't cost you much, will play solid defensive D, is extremely effective on the PK and can play either a #4 or #5 role, then I think the ideal guy for you is Hal Gill. Plus, he's not a rental.

Kenny should got the Ottawa route and go after malone and orpick, That would be my choices. Both are UFA after this season. Low risk trade, both physical and malone can score. I'd actually like to see kenny sign orpick this summer instead of extending lilja.. and if cleary walks  , malone would be a good replacement

Ideally : Hossa and Gratton

Likely : J.P. Dumont and Blake

Unpopular but I wouldn't complain : Fedorov and Blake

Why do you think Dumont is available again? Did I miss something or did the Preds just sign him to a 4 year extension for fun?

Are you on crack? You want to replace Lilja and Kronwall with Quincey and Stuart? Sure, lets decimate our PP by replacing Kronner with Stuart and then have a rookie Dman with next to zero shot blocking and PKing abilities replace our biggest and most effective shot blocker on the squad. Why dont we just give Anaheim the cup now?

Kronwall and a 2nd is WAy to much for Stuart, Sammy, Lilja and a 3rd screws over our depth, and bringing up Quincey should be a last resort. Not to mention, this draft is supposed to be one of the deepest drafts in years (3-4 rounds deep). You dont just go around throwing out 2nd and 3rd round picks for the crap that you want in return.

...as much as I'd love to see Fedorov here for the Cup run, he'd have to come cheap. Like a pick or two that's it. Holland isn't going to give up too much for him when he can just sign him in the off-season...

...Now, throw in Foote along with Fedorov and now we're talking a couple of picks and a player, whether or not that is a roster player, GRR or prospect, dunno...

...Fedorov and Foote would be the cheapest and bring us VERY solid playoff performers who can give us what we have lacked the last couple of weeks. A bit more secondary scoring and tougher D...

...They will be cheap especially if Fedorov is still concussed...

...those are my wishes. Fedorov and the Yeti...

Knowing Holland, well end up getting some player that has rarely and/or never been connected to the Wings in trade rumors.

What do you folks think of Trent Hunter? Seems to me, the issue of Cleary re-signing is going to be weighing on Holland's mind at the deadline, and trading for Hunter might be a good way of giving the Wings a backup option if Cleary decides to test the market. Not to mention, Hunter could admirably replace Johan Franzen as well. Hes a scrappy guy with a big body and a great work ethic - exactly the type of guy you want in the playoffs. Hes not scoring a lot of goals this year, but hes already put up 20+ goals twice in his short career.

Id personally like to see the Wings make a pitch for him if they lose out on more offensive guys like Prospal, Comrie, etc (I dont think Sundin and Hossa are in the picture). I hear the Isles are looking for young Dmen and/or D prospects. Maybe Quincey and a 4th for Hunter, should there be a bidding war...

Why would the Jackets take a player in the last year of their contract??? (Lilja) Detroit isn't a sign and trade organization, if Lilja goes anywhere it will be as a FA this summer.

Holland doesnt wanna give away any roster player

So I think the big name players are not gonna be wearing the winged wheel

But after the Sens trade maybe Holland will have a diffrent approach

In any case lets not get our hopes up

I dont know...Hudler has been in the dog house lately and we all know hes probably Babcock's least favorite player. If Hudler and a pick is enough to get Prospal, I say that deal is as good as done.

Also, luckily for Detroit, I hear that LA is looking to get D prospects in return for their rentals. At this point, I think Detroit's biggest competition for Blake is San Jose, so maybe Detroit could land him with Quincey, a 1st, and a conditional..
