What do you think the problem is for our current slump?

how can you blame osgood. The 1st goal ok he left the rebound there on the door step and Radulov put it in. But Rafalski let Erat slide right in and was left wide open for a goal, and dumont was left open when Arnott fed him wiht a pass.

we are loseing because we always leave a man from the other team in front of the name no one is there to protect of goalie.

You absoluetly destroyed the English language.

When Kronner gets back everything will be back to normal, Chelios won't be depended on as much and Rafy will hopefully turn his game around.

I remember Blake use to be pretty good at blocking shots himself when he was with the Avs. I've kinda stopped paying attention to him after he left the Avs, so I don't really know if he plays like he use to though.

Statistically, Blake is a much better shot blocker than the "shot blocking machine" Stuart. Blake leads the Kings with 113 blocked shots in 53 games. Stuart has 76 blocked shots in 53 games.

I know why....Lilja hasn't been in a fight in a while. The guys need the occasional Pain Train scrap to get them going. Not to mention, we lay off his ass for a few weeks whenever he does.

Finally, someone besides me understands what is really ailing this team. "PAIN TRAIN" needs to drop the gloves a few more times before the playoffs begin, to rouse the rest of the boys up.

Honestly, the reason the Wings are in a "slump" is because their passing has become tentative due to solid forechecking by our opponents. It has nothing to do with Cleary being out (that doesn't help, but its not the reason), it has nothing to do with goaltending, and even our defense.

I've said this before, the way to beat a puck-possession team is to forecheck the hell out of them, and prevent the breakout pass out of the zone. If you pinch on the players with the puck instead of trying to play safe defense you'll have more luck against a puck-possession team.

What the Wings can do to remedy the situation is to in turn forecheck the hell out of their opposition. Whichever team can establish that first will have the upper hand the majority of the game. If the Wings are the ones that are able to establish it, no team in the league can skate with them.

I know some people have tried to pin the losses on goaltending, offense, or defense, but I think the scary thing is that it's not one player screwing up. Every single one of them (with the exception of Howard) is playing sloppy.

Datsyuk isn't thinking out there, and he's giving away the puck. Zetterberg just isn't making anything happen. Lidstrom and Rafalski are making sloppy, and occasionally stupid, plays. Osgood and Hasek have been letting in some questionable goals. Lilja is being...well...Lilja. Hudler and Filpulla aren't making anything happen. Franzen is doing okay, but we all think he can make a little more fo a contribution. The fourth line has been virtually nonexistent. Sammy is making stupid moves.

I'd say the only ones not screwing up are Chelios and Lebda, but that's not to say they're doing amazing. They could contribute more, their performance right now is just by virtue of not screwig up as much as the rest.

And because of this, I think many are overreacting. It's obviously a team thing. I don't think we need to throw any one player under the bus. They'll get their act together.

I don't think we need to throw anyone under the bus either, but how can you not include Lebda in your list of Wings that are playing poorly lately. Lebda hasn't been close to solid.

Agree. Lots of sticks in the passing lanes as well. If there ever was a time to hit Nasville hard it was last night without Hordichuk or Tootoo in the lineup.

were in a slump plain and simple, but i for one am not that worried about it. We will make it up in the next games and put together another nice 7 or 8 game winning steak. Who knows we might even crack a nice 10 game win streak

I think a couple of things:

1. The power play has gone South. Sure they had one vs. the Ducks but, man it's been bad.

2. they aren't moving the puck around like they have before the all-star break.

3. Their banged up. I hate excuesses. But, it's the truth.
