Vancouver and Edmonton

Anyone else watch that game last night? That was one of the best games of hockey I have seen. Especially with the winning goal. Nice tic-tac-toe play by the Sedins and Naslund. The fights were awesome too. I'm kinda shocked at how poorly Edmonton took the losing. Anyone else have thoughts on this game? Because I think the Wings need to play like Vancouver or Edmonton, with energy. They look tired or they just aren't playing with the same passion they did in the beginning of the season.

Great game - and I why shouldn't they take losing poorly? This is the NHL, not dodgeball during school recess.

My admiration for Sam Ganger went through the roof when he took on Kesler. Good to see a game like that every once in a while!

Yeah, whent Gagner took on Kesler he got a thumbs up for me because Kesler is not really someone I would want to fight. You see that first punch Kesler threw? Ouch!

I saw most of the game last night. Hard fought by both clubs, but Vancouver really earned the win. The brawl at the end was unbelievable. I'm shocked no one picked up a fine for any of it.

Kesler isn't all that tough.. That being said i give the 18 year old Sam Ganger a ton of respect for dropping the gloves that's for damn sure.. It was a great game to watch the best of the season that i've seen so far

i agree! 18 year old guy dropping the gloves.

i actually missed the game live (which irritated me sooo much cause i usually watch most HNIC games)

i saw bits and pieces but watched the condensed game on "after hours"

boyyy that was a great game. lots of donnybrook, bunch of gritty play throughout the game, just overall a very exciting game.

now if only the Oil could get it together and face the canucks in the playoffs....

That game was INSANE. I got to watch most of it but then I had to leave for an hour and a half to do fun RA things...but when I came back the game should have been LONG over with...but no, there were still fights galore! Fabulous!

As a Canucks fan, I loved what I saw in that game. It almost made up for 6 weeks of hard times due to injuries, incredibly bad luck, (pucks flying 50 feet up in the air and going in) and Luongo's head not being entirely in the game.

Back in November the Canucks embarrassed themselves in a game against Nashville, and for about 2 months after that they were nearly bulletproof. That game against Edmonton could do the same thing for the Canucks. I couldn't believe that game. That was 2 teams playing very intense hockey.

And yes winglogo19, Kesler IS pretty damn tough. He'll take on anyone and always does well for himself. He's also future captain material.

And I don't come here all that often, but you guys always impress me. One of the classiest forums in the NHL.

Yeah I know Kesler is tough. Thats why I said it. Think of him like Jordin Tootoo. Detroit has Maltby but he's getting older. We need someone to fill his shoes of starting s*** with the other team.
