But then again.... is the creator liable for what others do on a free site? I'm sure he's made a pretty penny of it too.

True, it made him rich but that's not my point. He sold everyone's privacy in the process. If I had a penny for every arguement that stupid site has gotten me in over the years, well, I'd be rich too.

Yeah, if Anaheim gets one of the big names at the deadline and Detroit doesn't. I will have a sick feeling in my stomach. Hudler and Flip will have to improve their game.

if Sundin goes to Anaheim,

how Hudler and Filppula improve wont matter in the long run barring them going absolutely nuts and playing on par with Datsyuk and Zetterberg.

If that is the case I'm all for Mr. Illitch giving Holland the boot and bringing in Mr. Dombrowski, at least we know Mr. Dombrowski has the cojones to make big moves.

Dombrowski also has no limit to spend, the supposed cap in MLB is a joke. They just pay a Luxury Tax penalty. Not taking away anything from what the Tigers have achieved by any means.

I have no way of proving this, but would it surprise you if Burke got invloved in trade talks just to up the price for a possible playoff rival ???

Ahhh, (doing my best Bear Grylls voice) but in the wild you can't count on sheer size, speed, agility, dominance and a wicked snap shot. Sometimes you have to think about what keeps you going. And for me that's my wife and kid.

This thread is now officially a classic.

i wouldn't be surprised at all. Anaheim, to me, is quickly becoming a team i cannot stomach.

i mean come on, their captain is Chris Pronger.

If we got Bear Grylls I would challenge Pronger to mess with Bear while someone holds him [bear] down to the ground and see how he would fair. Obviously he would get his ass kicked. Bear would somehow shimmy out of their grasp doing some crazy special ops british move, make a hockey stick out of bamboo (which he could use as part of a shelter or perhaps a raft later on during the game, you NEVER know when the elements are going to strike), a helmet out of bark, and gloves out of twigs and grass. Bear would then check Pronger to the ground, drop his makeshift helmet, stick and gloves and promptly beat Pronger into submission. Bear, physically drained from all of this, proclaims that "in the wild you have to be able to think on your toes, and use every little bit of your surroundings, you never know when the deadly puuuma (his silly english accent) is going to strike." Someone would then throw an octopus on the ice. This excites Bear as "the battle has left him physically and emotionally drained and octopus means protein and instant energy he needs to continue on."

Yvon Pedneault from RDS said that Hossa is looking for $9M-$10M per season...

hard to believe. he would be the highest paid player in the league.

What a joke. Hossa would make more than Lecavalier, Ovechkin, Kovalchuk, and a whole boatload of other top players in the league, all of which are better than him.

I hate Hossa. There's no denying his talent, but his personality is not what this team needs. He's nothing more than a greedy, one-way street that cares only about money. He wasn't happy in Ottawa, now he's not happy in Atlanta either. What makes anyone so sure that he'll be happy in Detroit? Because it's the Red Wings? Because their a good team? Sorry, but that didn't seem to be enough of a point to keep guys like Shanny and Fedorov from leaving, so...

I would rather the Wings invest in some other option. If they get Hossa for somewhat cheap (if that's even possible), or are able to sign him to a reasonable extension, then I wouldn't be against the move, but otherwise, I don't want him. He's not a 10 million dollar player.

Game tonight was pretty horrid... carolina had them (Atl) the entire time.

Hossa made 2 assists and got a hooking penalty.

5-3 carolina
