russianswede919293 95 Report post Posted February 26, 2008 If Eklund says it, we can cross Minny off the list of potential teams for those two to end up on. Still a solid chance one or both will end up in Detroit. I'd definitely take both

Majsheppard 203 Report post Posted February 26, 2008 Modry for a third...Id say a prospect and a 2nd. Yeah but what kinda prospect? Would Quincey do it? Would something like Hartigan and a 2nd do it? I think its more then a 2nd and a prospect(that we are willing to give up) Just because he is cap friendly. The real shame is that we can do any deal according to the cap in terms of rental player, and we wont do it. I don't care because I am excited for the future. Grigs is the only player right now I could care less for so any trade with him is good.
awingsincebirth 0 Report post Posted February 26, 2008 I dont know. The Habs have a lot of scoring if they add Hossa, and theyve really got it all in other respects too. Great goaltending thats as deep as it gets and their top 2 Dmen in Markov and Hamrlik...followed by Komisarek...is a great start to any defense. Plus...the East is a cakewalk. I dont think theyll end up in the finals, but theyll make some noise without a doubt.. Ya, this is all true. I guess I just see them as having a lineup that could fizzle out pretty easily. They don't have a scorer there right now that makes you say "You know this guy is going to show up every night." I mean, there is Kovalev, and we all know what this guy entails. Koivu, I love the guy, but he's never been a top notch scorer. Higgins is young and might have some trouble dealing with the playoff pressure. Plus, with Hossa, we all know that he has terrible playoff numbers, not saying that tis will contiue. Like I said, I might just be talking out of my ass, but this is my gut feeling. They could get knocked out in the first round and everyone might end up saying, "There big boys just didn't show up, and against Crosby and Malkin, you can't do that." Majsheppard 203 Report post Posted February 26, 2008 Okay I am feeling Staios and Cammaleri. Cammaleri for grigs hudler and a first. Staios for a second kopecky and Quincey. Those are my predictions(more outa hope and faith then substance)

StevieY9802 6 Report post Posted February 26, 2008 I would not trade Quincey unless he's part of a blockbuster. Trading him for a 34 year old when hes just 22 and has a lot of upside I don't think it's worth it.

NeverForgetMac25 483 Report post Posted February 26, 2008 this has been the most boring trade deadline ever!! SOMEONE DO SOMETHING!!! This is completely normal. Last years deadline morning was very similar to this and around 11:30-12:00 things start to happen quickly. Be patient.

Trading him for a 34 year old when hes just 22 and has a lot of upside I don't think it's worth it. I disagree, and only in this situation. That is because we have Ericsson, Kindl, Smith, and Logan all ready to go within a few years. I think our defensive future is looking good. One Dman at least should be moved if only to move a log jam.

Majsheppard 203 Report post Posted February 26, 2008 TSN talking about the Ducks and that pick they got gifted from Edmonton stupidity. I want them to trade that for a rental player and get screwed out of it. I hate Burke being made to look good by other people hard work or mistakes.
