russianswede919293 95 Report post Posted February 26, 2008 Man nothing is good enough for some people. Yeah it was a little much to give for Stuart, but its not bad. And he is big, and can kick Sammy off the PP point....everyone should be happy.
superstarsingh 23 Report post Posted February 26, 2008 OVERPAID?? A 2ND AND A 4TH IS DECENT Two picks seems a bit steep. I am happy that we got Stuart because Christ knows we needed someone like him but TWO picks. We could have held onto that 4th rounder. Oh well, whats done is done. Welcome to Detroit city Bradley Stuart.
Hank 0 Report post Posted February 26, 2008 Van Damme loves this move!
StevieY9802 6 Report post Posted February 26, 2008 Stuart!!! thats isnt SO bad but It could be better We Needed scoring not Defense I agree but disagree too. I would have liked some scoring help but depth on D after what has happened recently and last playoffs is still good. And hes a tough guy. Splitting up the euro-twins might help enough. Detroit # 1 Fan 2,204 Report post Posted February 26, 2008 Al Montoya and Marcel Hossa to Phoenix for Fred Sjostrom and Josh Gratton Kilger to Florida.
redwings1914 18 Report post Posted February 26, 2008 I honestly don't care what the Wings did in the past. This current team has major holes that seem to have gone unplugged today. That's what irks me. Major holes that will be filled with people returning from injury.......Sure we could have used a goal scorer, but we shouldnt have overpaid and we didnt ANOTHER HOSSA TRADEvLMAO
superstarsingh 23 Report post Posted February 26, 2008 Kilger to Florida for a 3rd

WiNgSowN 0 Report post Posted February 26, 2008 Okay okay...this makes me feel better. Size and Grit on the back end for next to nothing. Not bad, not bad. Wouldnt have minded a Stoll/Fedorov/Fedotenko addition though, after we lost out on all the big fish. Yea agreed Does anybody know if he will be able to play tonight? YoungGuns1340 1 Report post Posted February 26, 2008 You know what the best part about this is???? Holland stated in the summer that he wouldnt sign a Dman to a contract that was more than a year long. Brad Stuart signed a contract with LA that was how long? One year. For how much? 3.5M. In short, Detroit couldve had Stuart in the off-season, and how much would it have cost them? Nothing. Nice job on making yourself pay out TWO picks for something you couldve had 6 months ago Kenny. Pat yourself on the back with that one..
Hank 0 Report post Posted February 26, 2008 Still time. This gives me some hope that Kenny made another move I hope Fedetenko. He'd mesh well I think.
Wings_Dynasty 267 Report post Posted February 26, 2008 LIDSTROM - RAFALSKI KRONWALL - STUART CHELIOS - LEBDA NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO LILJAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lebda sits on my team. Lilja at least throws hits.
Airborn 0 Report post Posted February 26, 2008 Epic fail. Stuart solves zero problems. It solves two major problems. 1. It relegates Lebda to the bench 2. It keeps Sammy off the point on the PP
kylee 727 Report post Posted February 26, 2008 now Lilja cant make that turnover in OT. i like this, a lot. ill keep Lilja around, but not in that type of situation.
StevieY9802 6 Report post Posted February 26, 2008 (edited) And Fletcher couldn't do anything. The Leafs will continue struggle if they can't change up that team. And I'm happy with depth on D now, when healthy. Lidstrom-Rafalski Kronwall-Stuart (maybe that pairing?) Lebda-Cheli Lilja Meech Quincey Edited February 26, 2008 by StevieY9802

motorcitykid 42 Report post Posted February 26, 2008 Don't get me wrong, cause I would've been more happy seeing a forward picked up and Sammys ass dropped way, way down the forward chart. But Brad Stuart is a really nice d-man. Quick scouting report: ASSETS: Is a very gifted skater and makes excellent outlet passes. Has a heavy shot that can be very effective on the power play. FLAWS: Is prone to mistakes in pressure situations, which has led him into the coach's doghouse in the past. Doesn't use his size effectively enough. CAREER POTENTIAL: Top four defenseman.
