Stuart Won't be physical

News flash to fans who think he will be physical..

- He Wont

- He'll Be Our New Whipping Boy

Do you think Lilja would've ever dropped the gloves, blocked shots, or tried to check anybody if Babcock weren't on his ass about it?

Stuart's shown he can play the physical game already, and I'm pretty confident Babs will be encouraging it.

As for whipping boy, that I can never predict here. We seem pretty content with sammy and Lilja at the moment, with Hudler ready to step in if necessary.

Have we already forgotten that he was the one that cheap-shotted Hank and is the reason Hank now has back issues?

Imagine him doing that to Selanne, Campbell, or Richards...I think Kennys on to something.

Was he really? I don't even remember the play where Hank got hit or anything. HMMMM.

I don't think Stuart will be the knock down D-man everybody is hoping for...He'll be asked to be more of a puck mover and asked to shy away from his game...don't expect him to play like he was in Calgary.

The naysaying here is getting more and more outrageous in form. That people are actually going to these lengths in order to find something to be negative about would be hilarious if it weren't so ridiculous.

Stuart won't be used as a physical defenseman? From where did you get this? Did Babcock tell you? I think you pretty much just made it up. Why?

I'd love it if everybody in the Nostradamus Club would actually evaluate his play after he's actually played. Honestly, your ability to read the future in the stars is not fair to the rest of us.

You got my vote for post of the year!

I love how the OP said absolutely nothing to back up his point. At least some of the other people on here who say outrageous things try to support it with some kind of reasoning. This guy just posted it and was done, and still hasn't responded to those asking him why he thinks this. Wow, just wow.

How about you actually see him in a wings jersey on gameday before you start raining on everyone's parade.

babcock- hey brad you know how your game has a strong physical edge well we'd like you to knock that off the red wings are a possession team and don't believe in hitting, if i see you hitting people out there i'll have to bench you.

this is just stupid, he hasn't even played yet.

I for one am excited to see him play. I hope that he will be physical and play with a mean streak. Maybe some of our other D-men will get inspired by watching him and want to be more physical themselves.
