looks pretty god damn physical to me.

God damn right. Who started this silly thread? You should have some kind of "I was wrong" icon in your avatar.

Brad Stuart had 5 hits tonight, and had at least 2-3 good scoring chances as well. Nice way to make a good first impression.

I'm so glad the Wings have Stuart. He's such a great all around defenseman. Hopefully, they can get him under contract for a couple years this summer. :)

I am really liking Stuart. I hope that he loves being a Red Wing and wants to stay in Detroit. We could use a couple of more players just like him. I hope that the other Red Wings will follow his example and be more physical, especially Lilja.

I don't think Stuart will be the knock down D-man everybody is hoping for...He'll be asked to be more of a puck mover and asked to shy away from his game...don't expect him to play like he was in Calgary.

You're wrong

I didn't get to see last night's game..... how did he look defensively?

Solid enough, him and Kronner were our only dressed defensemen who didn't end up in the minus category ;)

Yep, Lilly was a -1 even though he was covering his man in front. Somebody (I think Homer) let their guy loose and he scored (2nd goal I think). But, to Lilly haters, it was probably all his fault.

No, Lils wasnt bad last night. Im an honest Lilja hater who judges what he does game by game. He wasnt horrible like he is most nights.

Well so much for Stuart not playing physical...What a showing in his first game as a Red Wing. Hitting guys left and right. Pretty refreshing to see. Our D will be looking amazing once Nick comes back.
