Perhaps Hasek came back too early. Didn't look good - softies. At least they played with more enthusiasm than yesterday. Hopefully our wounded will be back soon . It's not like they can just flip the "Play Well" switch on at any time (Case in point, today's game). Playoffs is not about turning on a switch. It's just all lucky bounces for goals and a hot goalie. Every Hockey analyst will tell you that. Completely losing your drive by the end of the season sounds like a perfect way to get knocked out in the first/second round again. Getting your players hurt at the end of a season becasue they are playing with a 100% drive for fighting for a spot in the playoffs that you already have is a perfect way of getting knocked out of the first round. The Wings only need to play average hockey and not lose games by getting blown out. By which they did in todays and yesterdays game with only losing by one goal. Today he had no luck, or help from the defence. Funny how the defence rallied in front of Osgood. Oh, it was funny how the game changed when Babcock put the Dats-Z-Franzen line togather. Anyone notice how Babcock put Sammy out in the last couple minutes after the last goal? Sammy tired a slick deke at our blue line, and lost the puck. The puck stayed in our end for a while. At the worst times Sammy decides to hold onto the puck, and try to beat someone one on one. Whenever he tries this he ALWAYS loses the puck. dallas27 7 Report post Posted March 16, 2008 Oh, I'm sorry. I forgot. Ozzie has never had a bad start like that. Both goalies have been inconsistent and had horrible starts. Right now it is not clear which goalie is better for playoffs (unreal save by Oz though just now). I haven't seen the goals. But in typical LGW fashion I see one group of people saying none were his fault and another saying they were bad. Hasek can play like he did today until the end of the season.
