cirov19 1 Report post Posted March 23, 2008 Two minutes left in the Ottawa Toronto game.. Toronto is up 5-4.. It's like watching overtime of the game 7 in playoffs. At Scotiabank Place - Ottawa fans "go sens go" / Leafs fans "go leafs go" and typical Ottawa is on the PP now, this is a joke.

Austrianwing 71 Report post Posted March 23, 2008 (edited) Maybe I will sound like the unreasonable voice of optimism, but as many things as I have seen wrong over the past few games this team of ours seems to be addressing them one by one as these last few games go by. We have players getting hot and the team as a whole getting back to the piont where they can slow a game down defensively when the time comes. I'm not banking on the cup, but I'm not feeling too bad about our chances either... I should edit all that, but I meant it so It will have to stand Edited March 23, 2008 by Austrianwing
RedRockit 0 Report post Posted March 23, 2008 Another shootout for the Boston/Montreal game... Wideman misses *registering mock shock* and Koivu brings it home. F-wording hate shootouts.

wings_fanatic 677 Report post Posted March 23, 2008 Good game by the Wings... this reminded me how great they are defensively, as this was avery very defensive game. Pavs is amazing, as is Hank, And frick Mule is on a roll... all in all a great team effort... I thought Dom looked really good tonight... he seemed faster and made some nice saves, especially on that last powerplay against the wings when it was still 2-1.... P.S, congrats to Babs for another 50 win season... GO WINGS

kylee 727 Report post Posted March 23, 2008 great win for the Wings! Datsyuk and Zetterberg are in some serious playoff form, and the Mule just keeps on going. Hasek looked very good in net tonight. lets keep it going against the blues on tuesday, as for me i wont be in the hockey world tomorrow, but ill be watching as many games as i can until the playoffs to see who falls where and who shall play the Wings. im pulling for the Predators. Hockeytown Red Wings 245 Report post Posted March 23, 2008 Never got to see or hear anything...how'd we look? Really good....then we sat on our hands until the middle of the third and put it away. Wings played pretty strong defensively though. Going to a game at Nationwide reminds me how badly the Wings need a new arena, and at the very least, someone who knows how to make it a fun atmosphere. That could be part of the reason for attendance problems. For diehards like us, the Wings are the show, but Blue Jackets games are fun if you don't know the red line from the beer line. Guest QuackQuack Report post Posted March 23, 2008 LOL I saw a quote from Pavel that went like that. Something about him and two other players being KGB or something like that. Anyone know the exact quote, that was funny Love to see the Wings winning. Well, "seeing" meaning "reading about it here" "I with Homer and Fill. We special KGB group, me and Homey and Fill. We have European style, jump in and everybody shoot. Ask later, who still alive."

Where'd you hear that one!? Hahahaha. Know the interview? Or what game it was that he said that?
adtthosa 5 Report post Posted March 23, 2008 Well, it's just my luck that I get home from work just in time to see Columbus score and start putting on the pressure. Then there were technical difficulties on the Center Ice feed for a few minutes and by the time it finally gets back, it's 4-1 Wings. So basically I got to watch all the crappy parts of the game but not the good parts. Oh well. Glad we won.

Now I understand why when Draper was clearly tripped on a scoring chance their was no penalty. Nice one Danny. ...We hate you. Canadian refs doing a game against an American team is pretty much certain as to the calls. Always hated the trips to West Canada ... not much of a chance, but the Wings pulled their first sweep in how many years?
Kp-Wings 3 Report post Posted March 23, 2008 (edited) I just realized NOW that Dan O'Halloran reffed the game... I knew the ref looked familiar but it didn't click until I just read the game summary. Now I understand why when Draper was clearly tripped on a scoring chance their was no penalty. Nice one Danny. ...We hate you. You do know that he was born in Michigan, currently lives there now, and that his family members are all Wings fans, don't you? It's pretty ridiculous to say that he's personally going out of his way to screw a team that, more than likely, he rooted for growing up, and that his family probably does still root for. Anaheim disallowed goal call notwithstanding, I can't think of any other incident in which Dan O'Halloran screwed the Wings over with a bad call.
