Herr Hockey 0 Report post Posted April 6, 2008 Is there any solid information or reasoning to think that the Joe will or will not sell out during the playoffs this year? I just checked Ticketmaster and I could still purchase game 1 tickets in the upper bowl (already have ). Kind of worries me seeing that they are still available. We have sold out some regular season games though, so I don't see why the playoffs would go without being sold out. Whats your 2¢ents?
WingMachine91 0 Report post Posted April 6, 2008 now that everyone will know exactly when game 1 is and against who, im sure we will sell out. plus they are pretty cheap. thers still plenty of time.
OsGOD 3 Report post Posted April 6, 2008 (edited) Wingnut22, Penaltyshot_96 and I will be there for game 1.... Maybe a few more non-sell out seasons and the $22 will be a mere $30 for the first round instead of $40... A 2x markup for the first round... Awesome!!! Jwo 7 Report post Posted April 6, 2008 (edited) Ticketmaster has the cheapest ticket priced at $40. In Nashville, the cheapest is $25 This is just wrong Edited April 6, 2008 by Jwo

cirov19 1 Report post Posted April 6, 2008 I'm pretty sure that lately the only time Detroit has been worthy of the Hockeytown title is in playoffs. I am hoping they sell out and Detroit can continue their reign as Hockeytown. Please sell out.

HockeyCrazy3033 168 Report post Posted April 6, 2008 Wingnut22, Penaltyshot_96 and I will be there for game 1.... Awesome! Did you guys purchase tickets online get em in person? I know online it's a ridiculous $6 or so fee extra for each ticket. My Dad wants to get 6 tickets for my sis, him, myself and three cousins and I think the cheapest would be great! lol

Going down would be the best choice as there are no stupid fees, its a flat $40.... although we got lower bowl so it was a tad more... one time deal might as well go big

red and white forever 10 Report post Posted April 6, 2008 i would love to be able to make it to a playoff game, but living on the west coast it's a little difficult, so i urge any fans that are within distance to make it to the joe. there's nothing worse than witnessing a half empty joe at playoff time, especially when our team sits atop of the league........GO WINGS GO BABY!!!!! wingnut22 81 Report post Posted April 6, 2008 If you get game 1 we are 115 row something and seats something x3 haha look for us! row 12, seats 5,6 & 7!!! I personally, would go to as many games as I could if I lived close to Detroit. But spending money on tickets, then gas for the drive there and back.... not fun. But I have beec saving up so I can go to a playoff game! and I couldnt be more excited.
Herr Hockey 0 Report post Posted April 6, 2008 I wouldn't say I worry about it, but seeing playoff hockey at the Joe is supposed to be more than just watching an important hockey game. I was never able to go to something like game 7 of the WCF in 2002, but I would really like to be able to experience the intensity of a pumped sellout crowd at the Joe. I don't even know if I will be able to attend game 5. OsGod, 8 hr raod trip. I know the way it is easy and a fun ride. Lets get everyone and go. The city is amazing and reasonably priced for hotel/drinky. Plus they let everyone with Military Id into bars no cover, and everyone with them. I got the hook up!!!!! As stated, if they sell out, they will. If they won't, they won't. It has little to do with the hockey team I think and more to do with the economy/stuff being expensive et al. That being said, I have a free round trip flight through Southwest Airlines. I doubt I can get a day off of work on short notice for next weekend's game, especially since I took some personal time off this week, but (don't take this as a "jinx" or whatever else superstitious, I'm not that kinda person) if the Wings go to the next round, I might go to one of the weekend games then.
