Well I guess no one has to worry about McGeough. For some reason I have it in my head that this is 2 consecutive years he has been out of the playoffs. Anyone know if this is correct?

I'm not sure about last year but, he retired, Sunday was his last game.

Something tells me Detroit might get the zebra shaft sometime between now and June

Don't forget about Kerry Fraser. :ranting:

I am hoping we get Dan Van Massenhoven every game, hes the only one who doesnt call the phantom calls with the frequency of the rest.

All those guys are idiots.

I hate them. They're going to make awful calls.

I guess you're too young to remember why he was called Don VanCouver.

that would be the very 2002 Playoffs Round 1 and Don VanCouver doing

wonders to save Burke's butt

though, other than that infamous series he haven't had a lot s***ty calls

Hopefully one of those guys has the balls to call Forsberg for diving each time he does it, instead of penalizing the other player for being within 5 feet of Floppa.

Also, expect Homer to keep getting treated unfairly by the refs each time he's anywhere near the crease, which is something he better be aware of.

Dear Bill McCreary,

Please officiate any and all Red Wings games this post season.

Regards,

NFM#25

Can I co-sign this letter with you? He is the only ref I think is capable of doing a decent job out there. Also, I know that Fraser hates the Wings because he is actually a pretty good ref when he is doing other games, but not with us! He really does not like the Wings. Also, I remember VanMassenhoven being called Vancouverhoven or whatever it was because he was so biased against us in that series. It was out of control! I also don't think Devorski is that bad, not as good as McCreary, but not awful. I could live with him.

Oh, I definitely remember that. Kicked a puck to a Vancouver player who subsequently scored on us.

And sorry for the double-posting on this earlier. Somehow I completely missed the original.

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH

wah wah wah wah wah wah wah wah wah wah wah wah wah wah wah wah

A game has yet to start and y'all are whining about the refs already. God knows the people on this site are far better equipped to officiate NHL games than the people actually paid and trained to do so. :pokey:

Hey mods, why not rename this the LGW WAH Page :crybaby:

I was going to create one specifically for the playoffs, but this one will do. That way all y'all can post all your whiny cry baby comments about the officiating here and leave it out of the other threads and improve the intelligence of those discussions. :P

Quick piece of advice Caly....skip the :P at the end of your post. It doesn't church it up any.

That being said, I for the most part agree with you. Fans of every team in the league think practically every ref is "out to get" their respective team. The fact of the matter is that every team gets bad calls and plenty often, but the majority of fans only recall "bad" infractions against their own team and somehow magically forget the ones that their team is awarded. The point is....yes, the Red Wings have had some bad calls against them this year (I.E. most notably the Sharks off the netting goal), but every single team in the league has just as many bad calls against them. The refs are doing the best they can within the guidelines they are given. I'd like to see anyone try and do a better unbiased job.

Lastly Caly, my comment about McCreay stands though. That guy is the best ref in the game as far as I'm concerned and its so few and far between that a poor call ever is made when he's in charge.
