Detroit # 1 Fan 2,204 Report post Posted April 17, 2008 I think bringing in Abdelkader and Downey for the next game, while keeping D-mac in, wouldnt be a bad thing. We have guys that need to score, they need to do that. But other then Kronwall, Cleary, Drake and Draper, there isnt enough physicality. BTW, Lebda had a decent game tonight, and should stay in. skacore 2 Report post Posted April 17, 2008 every time it showed a close up on someone they looked miserable and depressed... I think we could use a hungry young gun in the line up like Helm or Abdelkader
BlackhawksFan 4 Report post Posted April 17, 2008 Detroit is choking in the playoffs. The new San Jose, who were the new Ottawa. Although from the looks of it, San Jose still possesses the crown.
marcaractac 3,963 Report post Posted April 17, 2008 LOL, yeah Downey's 4 minutes are really worth scratching Flip for. Abdelkader for Flip, Downey for Hartigan. As if Flip has done so much in this series.... He needs to be scratched one game to make him realize he isnt playing good enough. Whatever it takes to get the message accross. At least Downey would give us some energy out there.
Firehawk 305 Report post Posted April 17, 2008 "Timely saves. Timely goals." -Larry Murphy Osgood in Game 5 "I'll bet your life John..." "If Osgood gets on a role, I don't know if we'll see Dom again..." -Ken Daniels Man... He really said that? Wow... I have been a Dom supporter from day one. I have never said he has allowed soft goals and I still am not going to say that, because i don't feel they have been. But I will asy that when the puck isn't hitting you, it's not hitting you, and Hasek has been that way pretty much all year except for the occasional game. I think Ozzie deserves the chance to play game 5.
Osgood=WIN! 0 Report post Posted April 17, 2008 This is my first post of these playoffs, but i've been lurking the GDTs each game so far, and I have to say great job, and THANK YOU to the non fairweather fans for staying positive. I just have to say that i'm extremely happy with the way the Wings played the second half of this game, and even though they did'nt end up pulling this one out, we had TONS of great chances, we played with heart, played physical, and how about OZZIE coming in in relief of Hasieve and shutting the door, making some amazing saves along the way?? THATS the goaltending we need in the playoffs, and I think it gave the players a HUGE boost of confidence to see him in there doing it. I now believe the Wings have TONS of momentum and confidence going back home with the series being a best of 3, and they will come out flying at the Joe. GO WINGS!!! edicius 3,269 Report post Posted April 17, 2008 Well, the D-Mac jersey gets retired for the post-season after only one game. The only current roster player jerseys I have left are an Osgood (which doesn't fit me anymore), a Hasek (which probably isn't good luck to wear at this point) and a Lidstrom. So it looks like next game is Lids. If we lose Game 5, I'll have to break out the Stevie Y or Shanny.
Must Kill 0 Report post Posted April 17, 2008 i just seen the highlights and seen hasek was playing and got pulled, im just pissed nashville is winning by one goal games and i dont count empty net goals. Its like were not taking the preds serious, and their making us look like ******* at some points in the game. Im taking it Osgood played a solid game thru the rest of the second and the third. Im still not pushing the panic button unless we fall behind in the series, as it looks home ice is what this series is all about. Ill take a 7 game win over another early series exit. aflac9262 211 Report post Posted April 17, 2008 There's two things I'd like to see for Game 5: 1. Samuelsson off the PP for good (of course, there's no chance in hell this will happen for some reason). 2. Start Ozzie
GMRwings1983 8,804 Report post Posted April 17, 2008 I can't believe this team was so stupid to do the same thing they did last year, when they let Calgary hang around. Yeah we won that series, but this is also how we've lost series' in the past.

Detroit # 1 Fan 2,204 Report post Posted April 17, 2008 Thats what effing pisses me off. Hudler slacks off in the playoffs last year, and he gets benched. Filppula does JACK s***, and he gets 2nd line time + PP time. ******* favoritism from Babcock. He isnt the kind of coach to reward players or bench players. Pisses me off, Hudler and Draper are playing great, but Filpula and Sammy are...... playing bad. But he doesnt change it up. I really think it's time Downey and Abdelkader get some playing time, more big bodies.
