Melrose picks the Wings

My heart dropped.

But then I noticed he picked us to beat Nashville, so I breathed a sigh of relief!

He had the Wild beating the Avs, but the Avs to beat Detroit -- go figure.

I would be worried about this. Melrose would only pick us because he's a spitefull ass or because he wants to take credit for making a good pick later on when we win. Hopefully the second.

Matt: Midland, MI: Is this year's Red Wings team got what it takes to win the Stanley Cup against a younger team such as the Penguins?

SportsNation EJ Hradek: (3:05 PM ET ) Detroit is going to have their hands full with Dallas. They've been playing terrific hockey. I think Detroit has everything it takes to win a Cup. If you look at the numbers they've compiled during the season, when talking about goals for, against; shots for, against; ability to play in all situations; mix of stars and other players. They have a great organization and I think they'll win it this year.

sorry, here is the link, although once the chat ends i think you need insider to read it.

Barry Melrose is an effing curse! >< We can only hope that he -really- thinks the Stars will win it, but is trying to save face.

Well he did pick us to win the 1st round, but last year he picked against us up until WCF and then he picked us against the Ducks and we all know how that went.

Either way, I think our goalie voodoo is stronger than the Melrose Mullet, if we lose it's our fault.
