Is it just me, or does someone have to attempt murder on Holmstrom for anything done to him to ever get called? XD You know, if Homer would have retaliated even with a small push, he would easily have gotten a penalty. The refs' bias towards Holmström is ridiculous. I thought Dallas might have had too many men out there during the delayed call though. hard to tell. The Wings need to come out a hell of a lot better than they did in the first. I can't believe we're up 2-1. Dallas was flying and most of the time, the Wings were on the defensive. Made better use of their quality scoring chances and more quality shots. Dallas was flying and most of the time, the Wings were on the defensive. I agree Wings need to come out with more energy but I beg to differ about Stars flying. I mean - yes, they were putting some effort but when it came down to fighting for pucks etc. it was all Wings. if the Stars want to win this game they need to keep on pushing not let go once they're stripped of the puck. there was a replay of Ribeiro skating slowly back into Dallas zone... pretty symbolic for Stars now Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Meanwhile Malts throws a hit and gets 2 mins right away. Honestly, the Wings need to do more of that in the 2nd period, and score a few more goals too. I mean, clearly they have come with their best effort tonight in this series, and they are down 2-1. I'm not particularly happy with the way the Wings played that entire period, but I'm ecstatic that they got to the locker room with the lead and a chance to talk about it. Detroit didn't possess the puck nearly as much as they normally do. The two goals came on about the only two quality scoring chances Detroit had. Cleary's as a third one.
