Seedless 0 Report post Posted May 13, 2008 Detroit needs to start the 3rd a lot better. Two horrible starts to a period. I won't be too disappointed as long as we pull through with the lead at 0.0 of the 3rd. The ice obviously sucks in Dallas, so I'll cut the boys a little slack. They really need to start the 3rd better than the last two periods. Terrible starts. Can't really help that too much when Dallas got an early powerplay in the first and started the 2nd with a FULL powerplay. We got the kill in the 2nd, that's all we could ask for. The goal eventually came because they trapped our 4th line down low. An unfortunate series of events. As long as it's 5 on 5 or better, the Wings will finally get the start they wanted. One because our fourth line got stuck on the ice (much credit goes to the Stars of course for hanging on to the puck so long.) Still, probably the worst situation you can face at even strength. They really need to make sure they play sound defensively this period and not give up anything. IF the wings get another goal, it'll be a back breaker.
