I want a much better 2nd period, but alas, it probably won't happen. We turned it up in the 1st but then at the end they were splitting our defense so easily it wasn't funny. <_<

The 1st took forever it seems..... time to regroup and calm down. The wings need to start rushing the net instead of looking for the perfect setup.

LETS GO RED WINGS!!!!!!!!!!! lets win this and bcome home and finish this fraud pens team....

Thank God that period is over.

I don't understand why we are so shaky. I don't understand why we can't hit the net more often with all these shots. I don't understand why Dats and Hank aren't taking over and leading with some scoring. Quite honestly, I like Cleary being with them better than Homer of late.

Looked alright, but there was a little too much trepidation thanks to the "obstruction" all over the place  If we keep watching these weak calls, I'm gonna hurl. Especially the one-sidedness of the weak calls at that.

Here's to a good 2nd!

Respectfully suggest that we are taking stupid penalties. Drakes and Drapers were just stupid. We need to Get Smart.

- I don't have any problem at all with the penalty calls that the Red Wings took in the first. Those are textbook calls -- and LAZY penalties. If they skate they don't take those dumb penalties.

- Good response to tie the game up quickly.

- Need to cut down on the turnovers in the neutral zone and at Pittsburgh's blueline. Had some bad ones near the end of the period that resulted in a couple of chances.

- Wings ARE standing around too much in the defensive zone and really need to crank up the aggression in the battles along the boards. Sticking your stick in there isn't going to cut it.

- Cleary has looked good, as expected, on the first line. A couple of good chances in the first period.

Look maybe I'm harsh on Rafalski but I don't think he's much better than Schneider.

Not a bad period, Pittsburgh had all the momentum for the first 5-10 minutes but Lidstrom's goal was huge.

Osgood had a great period IMO and Cleary looked better being on the 1st line.

Also -- the Wings are big-time committed to getting shots from the point in this game, and that's really good. Nice to see the commitment to getting to the front of the net and pouncing on some rebounds.

Overall good period, Wings dominated 5-on-5, Z and Dats look unstoppable and Ozzie's been playing pretty good. The PK's getting better and I'm sure the calls will discontinue or start tilting i our favor, also Cleary's working pretty well on that top line.

They're scared. Case in point: our pointment are hanging far back.

Wings need to remember this is the same team they abused in the first two games. Get up in their faces, pinch in their zone, don't give them any time.
