Ducks off to Poor Start

I know it's early but it does my heart good to see the goons have started out just where they left off last year;

2 wins 5 losses -last night they were outshot 28-4 in the 2nd and 3rd periods and blew a 2-goal lead before winning a shoot out to Toronto

#27th in GFA

#1 in PIM

#20 in GAA

#30 in PP% (1 out of 25 4%)

And this is their last year to have any chance of competing before they have to try and resign 15 free agents.

Hopefully Burke is held accountable for the team's failures and is fired. That might shut the windbag up for a while at the very least. Maybe Edmonton will offer him a scouting job when he's let go lol.

He's a parasite. I expect he'll move on to another team after this season now that hes sunk Anaheim's ship. Preferably a team that already has up-and-comers in place, high draft picks, tradeable assets, and lesser siblings of superstars.

nope. I most certainly hope he will be held accountable and kept so that everybody

could see what a cheap excuse for a GM he is. he inherited a team full of extremely talented

draft picks and got Pronger and Niedermayer handed on a silver plate. and then he sold

out this young talent to have a shot on a cup. and to pay Bertuzzis, Schneiders etc.

I'd rather see him swallowing this and being forced to bail the Ducks out of this mess.

it took years to Nonis to clear the crap Brian left in Vancouver. why should yet another GM

do what Brian f* up?

Doesn't matter because the worst kept secret in the league is that Burke will be the Leafs new GM come next summer. I wonder if He will take any of His current players with Him?

I don't think Fletcher is that dumb to touch Burke. this guy is a pest who comes to rebuilt teams

and sells their assets out leaving a mess behind. just ask Vancouver. or (soon) Ducks

They just dont want it enough.. I am a big believer in that the team that wins just wanted it more. They need to want it like they they did in 06/07.

check this out:

3. Anaheim – Cap payroll: $56,073,333 Cap Space: $626,667

• Sometimes-retired/sometimes-captain Scott Niedermayer leads with a $6.75 million cap hit

• Getzlaf, Perry, Kunitz, Pronger and Giguere take up almost $27 million

Anaheim faces big cap problems moving forward. Only seven players currently on the NHL roster are signed for next season and they account for about $32.5 million in cap space. Granted, those players include three top-six forwards, a top defenseman and a No. 1 goalie, but Burke – or whoever is GM next season – will essentially have to build an entire team for a little more than $20 million. Not an easy task.
