He just finished two hits. The only debateable one was the low hit on Yelle, which I see go uncalled pretty frequently. I still hate the guy and know he probably did stuff I didnt see, but the Bruins weren't exactly saints themselves. Ference cheapshotted Ott, Hnidy was owning Niskanen who doesn't even know how to fight. Those announcers sounded like immature biased high schoolers. Overall bad performance. Then there's the low bridge, and the wussing out on fights to own up to his throwing the body around. Simply put, he's a *****. I hope Ott gets his face pummeled by someone soon. akustyk 84 Report post Posted November 2, 2008 crazy game. zebras shouldn't have let this happen and should get the f* away from the players once they try to settle something (meaning let Thorton pummel Ott and stop protecting the wuss). in the end, Stars were looking for some beating and got one. on the scoresheet and on the ice. you have to give it to Avery for not turtling at least this single time and being a man to drop the gloves. overall I'd say I'd love to be in this barn and live this game in person. must have been a huge boost for Bruins fans. and finally... this Lucic kid may bring those Bruins a cup some day. if their GM doesn't f* this up and builds a solid core around Lucic they will be a contender. because this kid gives them tough and eager identity which fans will love and which could carry them much further than their talent can. I didn't listen to the announcers but am I the only one who thinks that the Dallas players seemed like they were asking to get their lights knocked out all video long? I do like Boston as a team though and they did get me pumped up, especially after the Avery/Ference fight!! "You Bet!!" SIDENOTE: For those that want to watch YouTube clips in HQ, I highly recommend the Greasemonkey Add-on for Firefox then go get the High-quailty script and you will be watching these clips in high-quailty!! Players like Steve Ott are going to be finding themselves without a job real soon. The "agitator" role as we previously knew it in the NHL is rapidly becoming simple cheapshoting and this game had way to many low hits, and late. Going for a guys knees like that is the worst, dirtiest play in hockey in my book. Avery is doing exactly what I said he would when he went to Dallas. Everyone thought he was would make Dallas harder to play again, he simply made them dumber. He's better at working the press than the puck, and he is definitely a little to comfortable with the dramatic bulls*** at this point. His mouth is definitely writing checks his ass can't cash. This is the kind of game that galvanizes the hell out of Boston and pussifies Dallas, look for a streak on one side and a slide on the other. Milan Lucic is quickly becoming one of my favorite hockey players. The guy is a beast who hits clean and hard, can drop the gloves, and can score goals. As for the game, I am kinda worried about Dallas...not because of a skill wise, but what they showed here... Boston has some bruisers (Lucic, Thornton, Chara) that could take what they are dishing out, but what happens when they start doing this stuff to us? I dont even think Downey will be useful if we bring him up, because OTT is just gonna be running at players and then pussing out when it comes to dropping the gloves... I have to tend to agree with you. i think Ott is the biggest D-Bag in all of hockey, but I didn't see him do anything wrong. On that Turco? penatly, i saw him get checked well after the whistle.
