The Mule 0 Report post Posted November 14, 2008 Firstly, this is hockey - not football. No-one will ever have an undefeated season. Secondly, saying your not watching anymore because you're team is down 2-0 after one period is nothing short of a tantrum. It reminds me of when I took my little brother to his first football game a few years ago. Our team lost (they suck) and he said "I don't wanna go for the Bombers anymore, they always lose." He was six years old. Please enlighten where I said I'm not going to watch anymore. I don't give a s*** if we're down 35-0, I will still watch this team until the final buzzer goes. If you'd like to have a rational discussion with legitimate responses, I will gladly comply. Secondly, as you so delicately put it, you are not a forum officer. Do you get off complaining about people's posts? Sure, I'm guilty of just doing the exact same thing, but when you're going to complain about bitching, it's best to not ***** immediately afterwards. Go outside, take a deep breath, and re-evalute your time on here.

Guest Four Report post Posted November 14, 2008 (edited) What I don't understand about this whole discussion board, is how people think it's okay to ridicule other comments as if their way of "being a fan" is somewhat "better" or "more loyal". All fans are different. I don't believe it's appropriate to act so sarcastically to the other members for voicing their opinions on how their FAVOURITE team is playing. I'm sure most people here do not care whether we win or lose as long as we see the fast paced, solid team we've been watching for years. This season so far has been nothing but a let down to say the least it terms of watching the game. It's hard to enjoy a game when your team is looking so out-of-sync and sloppy. The only thing we can appreciate in these games in the fact that we somehow do keep on winning. But you see, again, not all of us care about winning - some care about how the team actually plays. I'd gladly take a loss knowing our team couldn't compete any harder than take a half-assed win where everyone seems to be -1 and the only goals we get are on the powerplay. We've reigned this league for a long time and we are finally starting to let up. It's frustrating. This is mostly to you Doggy. Comparing me to a 6 year old because I have better things to do than watch our team look like garbage? Yeah, because it's really enjoyable to watch. Guest Crymson Report post Posted November 14, 2008 All I have to say is that if anyone is so negative and doesn't appreciate the virtues of optimism, then it sucks for them. Anyway, it looks like the team appreciated that goal.

Doggy 130 Report post Posted November 14, 2008 im just messin with ya, thats cool though. is australian football as brutal as american football?? Used to be. Mainly coz we don't wear pads but kinda like the NHL, the AFL has really pussified the game and it's very annoying. We still hit hard though. I got injured a lot as a kid. haroldsnepsts 4,826 Report post Posted November 14, 2008 The good news is that Tampa has been turning the puck over as much as Detroit, which bodes well for a Detroit comeback. Plus Wings will likely get the next PP or two.

Offsides 21 Report post Posted November 14, 2008 The Red Wings are like a good friend. Not one player, but the team as a whole. I want them to do well. I'm disappointed if they don't, but I don't start cutting them down the second they falter..just not my style. A lot of people trash their friends behind their backs though and I'm sure those are the types who completely cut down the team after a few bad plays/games/etc. even after all they've given the fans. Honestly, I like them win or lose
