Heroes of Hockeytown 694 Report post Posted December 2, 2008 The Wings have got to win this game. It would be a goddamn travesty if they don't walk away with two points.
YoungGuns1340 1 Report post Posted December 2, 2008 For Ozzies sake, and for our sake, I really hope we can win this thing with only the one goal against. The Ducks have done nothing of consequence tonight outside of the 18:00 minute mark in the third period.

Outsider 42 Report post Posted December 2, 2008 Jebus..... The Duckies announcers have summed it up perfectly: "Of the 36 shots on goal.......very few quality chances....mostly throw away shots......throwing everything AT Giguere, hoping he makes a mistake....." This is going to end badly.....

The Duckies announcers have summed it up perfectly: "Of the 36 shots on goal.......very few quality chances....mostly throw away shots......throwing everything AT Giguere, hoping he makes a mistake....." This is going to end badly..... The Wings have two posts, a couple of point blank chances that were stopped, and a breakaway that missed. They've had their chances, they just haven't buried them. GoWings1905 2,694 Report post Posted December 2, 2008 Jebus..... The Duckies announcers have summed it up perfectly: "Of the 36 shots on goal.......very few quality chances....mostly throw away shots......throwing everything AT Giguere, hoping he makes a mistake....." This is going to end badly..... That's their way of sugarcoating a dominating performance that the scoreboard doesn't quite reflect (yet). If the Red Wings keep playing hard, they will bury the Ducks in the third.
RedWingedKitten 9 Report post Posted December 2, 2008 (edited) Jebus..... The Duckies announcers have summed it up perfectly: "Of the 36 shots on goal.......very few quality chances....mostly throw away shots......throwing everything AT Giguere, hoping he makes a mistake....." This is going to end badly..... What's funny is if you were even remotely correct, the Wings would still have twice as many scoring chances as the Ducks have shots. [edit] Here's to the Wings downing the Ducks in the 4rd! Go Wings! Edited December 2, 2008 by RedWingedKitten

haroldsnepsts 4,826 Report post Posted December 2, 2008 I finally caught up on the DVR. That first goal was on a bad turnover by Stuart, but Ozzy also looked asleep at the wheel there. He was awfully casual tracking the puck considering two forecheckers just blew past him. Franzen has really been throwing his weight around tonight. It's great to see. It hasn't led to a great scoring chance yet, but holy crap Dats has had the puck on a string tonight.

digitaljohn88 4 Report post Posted December 2, 2008 Hiller starting the third... I actually thought of this, didn't think it would happen, but Giguere has already played a full games worth and now they've got a fresh goalie.
